Gatherbuddy & HB Performance Part II

You might still remember my Post 2 weeks ago where i tried to make an multibotting with my old Q6600 System:
http://www.buddyforum.de/entry.php?1...ormance-Part-I
Now i have build up a new one based on:
Intel Core i7-920 with 12 Gig RAM and an small 64 GByte SSD, including an ASRock Mainboard and an ATI 5770 GPU.
The main issue on the old computer was the CPU Load which was 100 % once started 18 Gatherbuddy clients, however with running here 18 Honorbuddy the load is only 50 - 70 % which leads to the claim, that GB is an resource waster.
Now with the new Computer and 12 Gig RAM instead of 8 Gig which where in the old one, i tested to run all my active Gatherbuddys - 24.
I could manage it without a problem, and ended on ~ 25 % of CPU Load on the new Core7. Comparing an Quad 6600 with an Core7 - both have 4 Cores, the Core 7 has 4 x 2, ends into the result, that the Core7 is twice better optimized that the old Q6600.
After already running 24 Bots i decided to reactivate some old 60s and fire them up as long as the System can handle them. Some time later i had 24 GB and 7 HB running, but now i could feel how the mouse does not slide any longer on the monitor, but jumps.
It could not be the RAM - there is still 1.5 Gig free RAM , and the CPU Load is on 40 % . So the only logical decission is - the GPU is on its limit. Actually the GPU was one of the cheapest parts on that computer, just 150 EUR, the computer costed without Win7 1.130 EUR, where the RAM was actually the biggest part along with the CPU.
However 31 stable running Bots is not bad at all, it makes 36.50 EUR hardware Investment per running bot, Windows 7 Pro is another 110 EUR but i am taking that out to be able to compare better :)
My old AMD X2 4400 - 5200+ Computers with 4 Gig RAM ( 3.2 under XP ) could handle 8 WOWs each 2.5 years ago, however time is elapses and WOW got an Add-On and a lot of updates, now that tiny little bastards can stable handle only 6 Bots at once, 6 GBs - i have not tried HBs. Comparing their old price of ~ 350 EUR it was 44 EUR / Bot Investment. And with the new specs its 58 EUR, if i would buy them now.
Still, the new system is now way cheaper per Bot as the old ones ever where. One more bad thing is, that actually RAM is very expensive, around twice as expensive as it was back in 2008.
All my old computers went offline the moment i tested the new one, because even with small electricity consumption, 5 of them still do consume more than 1 new Core7 computer.
Looks like i will end selling them on ebay :)
