So, I was thinking it would be a great idea to integrate a chat box into each "buddy" forum or maybe just 1 master "buddy" chat room. This would allow us to just pass time and discuss stuffs, and newbs can ask us different questions and such. I was thinking something visible sorta like this RiD Forums - Undetectable RuneScape Bots
I like the idea of chat rooms per-bot as well. I think it would cut down on a lot of similar spammy posts such as: "Omg the bot is down". Yes, we all know, and we can all answer in chat rather than have 10 posts made. The on RiD uses is only applicable to the front page, not sub-forums. I don't know if vBulletin has a huge amount of chatbox options (my company bailed on vBulletin years ago in favor of IPB so I haven't been following it), but integrating chat would be pretty easy. Although the easiest solution would be to have official IRC channels instead. I think there is one for honorbuddy, but it kind of died off. A more homebrew (and likely better) option would be to use something like socket.io in a pop-out window. Then it wouldn't be a bunch of users spamming ajax requests for updates. Bonus points: They're mind-numbingly easy to create. Socket.IO — Chat
