So in MoP I botted a bit, leveled a few to 100, farmed honor on a toon or two, and used dungeon buddy. In WoD I think I only used kicks to get a few levels. I quit in jan last year, started back up in December right before the ban wave. So I wasn't banned in May or December. Do you think I'm ok to main this account if I never bot again or is there a good chance I will get hit anytime?
READ THE OP FIRST B4 POSTING !! @ OP. At the end of the day- you did bot on that account so you could have been flagged.. However its very unlikely your account would get banned if you never bot again on it..' My guess would be if blizzard was going to ban your account- they would have done so already.. But we never really know what blizzard gets up too.. some HBs did report bans some time after the may banwave even after reporting they stopped botting on the day of the ban ? so who knows,
I'd hate to start getting some gold built up and raid gear etc then get hit. Should I start a fresh license on the same account so i don't lose flying/heirlooms etc or start a new battle.net account entirely? Or take the risk on my current account, 8+ 100's, garrisons level 3 etc ..but haven't botted in over a year.
Personally, if you haven't botted on that account in over a year, I would say you're fairly safe to use it. If you don't want to use it, then start another one on the same battle.net account. Just my opinion.
If I transfer my main character to the new license it's still safe from what I gather reading on here? It's the license that is compromised not the characters?
That's a pretty broad assumption. Not a single person on these forums can answer your question in a satisfactory manner. But... If you want to assume that its a license that gets flagged, then anything related to the license would also be flagged. Meaning that if you transfer a character to a new license, that new license will be flagged, too. Again, that's all speculation.
