It's such a pity that Instancebuddy isn't 100% working to farm all the instances I want for mogging gear/pet/mount drops and rep. I did however notice Instancebuddy can detect mining nodes in instances that are not listed in the Bot Config > Farming Mode > Dungeon Selection > Farm Dungeon drop down box. In these cases another instance can be selected and when you hand move the bot through the instance it will perfectly 'read' where the mining node is and follow the instance terrain perfectly to walk to the node and carry out mining it. This leads me to believe that profiles could me made specifically for each instance and even boss encounters that require certain tactics could be coded for. So much of my time is now spent trying to farm instances for specific drops or rep that I think such a project would be worthwhile. I'm sure many others will agree. This leads me to several other questions: 1. How far along is a new working version of Instancebuddy for dungeons and raids? (I many not have to write instance profiles.) 2. Would it be possible to write profiles that path through an instance and automate boss tactics? (Is such a project feasible?) 3. Would it be possible to 'string' the instance profiles together, i.e. tell HB to do all the Auchindoun HC instances so that it does each one in a certain order and only after off loading bags and repairing? (Ideally I'd want my bot to use up each day's HC lockout to get uninterrupted, and also is such a project feasible?) 4. Would anyone like to collaborate to create such profiles? (Working together will normally bring about faster and better results.) Many thanks for any and all replies. -icu
theres a script for blackrock caverns, i havent tested it yet but it seems to be the first of many new profiles to farm new dungeons and eventually heroics.
That's for instancebuddy2. Instancebuddy1, the one actually in the newest release of HB has hardly any solo farming support.
From what I've read in various IB forums, and other random posts that go on tangents about IB, IB2 is still in development and hasn't been released yet. There are just IB2 scripts. Now, I could be wrong (and I wouldn't doubt it that I am) and IB2 could be with the newest version of HB, but it just doesn't seem like it, and I haven't read anything about it. Just my observations, that's all. Don't quote me on any of it.
