im running mac. i was using leopard and upgraded to snow leopard. Its easy just upoad bootcamp give yourself about 30g of space MIN then install whatever windows you prefer. I prefer windows 7, i think its an awsome program. But thats entirly up to you, you can get windows 7 off of torrents. If you dont know how to download off of torrents then u can do a bit of research.

I'm myself using VMware Fusion (like bootcamp but runs as a program in mac)
Works like a charm for botting, but not good playing yourself, but then you've wow on the mac side I guess.

So, VMware gives you the chance to keep the bot on wadjamacallit, "another desktop view" on the mac and you can use your mac as usual without an actual complete restart for windows.

Tired and dont know how to explain it better =P
You should for sure take a look on VMware Fusioun
It's not freeware, so pm if you need help with download or got questions.

Porting HB/GB to C++ or to OSX platform at all is not going to happen. There's no point when:

      1. There's virtualisation solutions available (VMWare, Virtualbox, Parallels)
      2. The userbase is too low
      3. HB and all that makes HB plugins and CCs easier to write must be built from scratch.

For those using VMWare on a Mac Os, what specs are you on?

I'm on a iMac Core 2 Duo 2,16Ghz with 4Gb RAM. I've set VMware to use 2Gb and 2 cores on a Windows 7 Starter and leaves Mac Os slow as hell. Any hint? Maybe split one core for each OS would be better?

I started with the same setup as you and eventually upgraded to 8GB, which made a huge increase in performance. In addition I'm splitting the CPU cores, one for each OS. If you are not using your machine in Mac OSX, i suggest you boot into Windows using Bootcamp- giving Windows full performance.

Oh, and try Parallels over VMware- there's a significant change of performance of these programs.

      I've got two main problems:

      1. 4Gb is the maximum RAM that my iMac (early 2007) can hold
      2. Cannot use BootCamp. Don't know why, but when I use HB with BootCamp in my iMac, it crashes randomly every few hours (Wow memory exception and so: THREAD). It's been reported in this forum but haven't seen any answer. Surprisingly, when I used on my MacBook 13" with only 1Gb RAM, it used to run for hours flawlessly (but unsuitable for playing purposes, of course). Both are on Windows 7 Home Basic platforms, so don't know what can it be (a memory problem maybe)

I'll try with Parallels and post results ASAP. Thanks, mate!

I'm running WoW at 1600x1200 wit settings at good/high (except lights and water, set on low) and getting between 15-30 fps. I'm broke as hell, also :) What I'd really want is to use the bot on a stable windows base, hehe. I'll keep searching for options in my BootCamp settings.

I am from Eu and dont really see the need for a MAC Version...
Who wants a Mac if he can get the same Performance for 1/4 the Price?
A cheap Notebook with Windows costs 400 Euros what costs the cheapest Mac?

Guys if you do something differend then do a Linux Version.

Well, I'm sure you could try harder and actually read and understand the whole thread. We ALREADY have a Mac. And we play WoW on it, with good performance. But as HB is based only on Windows (wich I totally understand), the only options we have are: Emulate, or use Boot Camp.

Please, keep away the Windows VS Mac Os topic from here. It's almost trolly xD

I run a Mac Pro Quad Core with 7GB of RAM. I can have HB running in VM Ware all day long and still do stuff on my mac (including playing wow by hand mac side) but I cannot get 2 bots running at the same time currently. I think its mostly due to the video card though. Even though I upgraded to the 8800 or whatever it was a couple years ago. Perhaps I need to tweak some VMWare settings, but for now I'm happy running just the one bot.

If I ran bootcamp I'm sure I could run a lot of bots. But its not worth that much to me as I have a bot running almost constantly.
