New to EB, experience with HB. I have been following the update log for beta EB but i do not know how to find out which version of POE I am currently running. I want to know so I may compare the Beta EB Update log with my current version of POE before I go posting problems on the forum for getting "incorrect version" errors. Is the EB beta forum post the only, and most up to date way to see if the bot is currently working for POE? Sat around most of the day hitting f5 on the forum page, but haven't seen any changes. Thanks in advance.
That does not correspond to the version or build number listed in the beta forum however, that is what I was speaking of. Example: #1082 [03 Aug 15 02:17] (2.0.1.4) AKA is there a more direct way to know when the bot is updated besides https://www.thebuddyforum.com/exile...ase-thread-awakening-2-0-0-a.html#post2011496 ?
What you're asking about isn't provided by GGG in the client itself. Their "client version" doesn't correspond to the "patch version" that is being listed on the release thread. Server/website updates can increase the patch version, but not affect the client version. It's possible the current patch version is larger than the client's patch version, but that doesn't mean that EB would be broken. We have a system in place to try and manage it ourselves. There's no real way to know if your current PoE version is working with EB or not unless you actually use EB to see if it works. If EB tells you unsupported client version, then you'll know. There's nothing we can change about this though, it's just how this game is setup. About knowing when EB actually updates, there's a way I think, but I'll have to talk to management first.
