Sorry guys but the answer to the riddle is simple. If you hired a handlful of people instead of an entire room to moderate wow, you would be making profit because you'd be paying less people to do the same job that less people can do. When you have less people, it's likely to take longer, and why rush into banning people when it's more likely that you will buy wow again if you have 8 level 90s rather than just 1, this is also true for the amount of time you will pay for your subscription all while developing an attachment to the game. And i mean, if blizzard where to ban everyone at once, it's also likely that people would be too scared to bot wow again, let alone play it manually when you have had everything done automatically for you. Everyone here knows that once you get to 90, you certainly wouldn't say it's fair that you need to spend more hours just to get to 90 again, just to have a feel for a new class, or maybe raid twice in one week. Whatever blizzard is doing now, and whichever way they are doing it, they are doing it the best way they can which yield the most they can benefit out of people. It doesn't matter what you do, or find out if blizzard can detect a bot or not, whether they can or not, won't increase your chances of getting banned by them finding out, only if someone else reports you. And chances are if you are flagged by someone reporting you, they can simply add your name and ip, whatever info they have on you and try to link it to anything else you have that relates to it in the future. So that handful of staff don't really need to go looking anywhere do they? They can just pull up a list of previous abuses, and start there, can't they?

I know for a fact they have your IP and machine name at a bare minimum. I have two computers here running two different accounts, both with authenticators. Each computer is usually used for a specific account. If I swap computers I have to use the authenticator to log in, wereas I dont if I log in on the usual computer. Both computers are behind a router and have the same external IP, so blizz certainly has more info than just your external IP.

I know for a fact that blizzard knows your moms middle name, how many cats you own and where you work, how many times you masturbate (oh trust me they know some here spend more money on baby whipes then wow acounts).

This together makes a maths summary x / y * Z and when that gets over 9000 you will get banned.

      Truth
(Blizzard could do much more then they do, they have GM?s only GM?s really know how GM?s work, not all GM?s use the same system, GM?s are humans, they work as any human would. think more like "What would you do if you where a GM?" a GM do most likely do just that, within a sertain set off rules ofc as they do not want to break laws.
      Diferent countries has diferent laws!
Some countries might allow blizzard to scan outside wow memory, some does not, would you if you wherea huge industry risk breaking laws to catch boters?
Blizzard, wow or any simple program running on your computer can get much information.
Do they se your ip? Yes.
Do they ban you for a sertain ip? Most likely No, but one can never know for sure.
Do they investigate accounts connecting from a sertain ip more closely? well would you if you where a GM? i would if i did se an ip verry often, maybe not after just 1-2 reports or bans but when i have banned accounts from a specific ip more then X times i might look more closely how many accounts connecting from it, maybe make a red flag ip or something, but one can never know for sure, what we do know is that when bans shit happens to one off your account it seems to soon get worse. but not always.

Well if anyone are dumb enough to use the same E-mail on various Online Forums as they use for theyr Battlenet. Then they are almost asking for it themself in my opinion.
Made a hell lot of accounts back in wotlk due to almost everyone who was in a guild, had to be signed up on their guild website - Most people use the same E-mail here, as in theyr wow accounts. And it werent really hard to get a list of emails from those cheap/free guild host websites.

If you look at first page. I updated and explained why I want peoples email addresses. My forum inbox can only keep 50 inbox mails. Thats only if people send me 1 message asking for results, what if same person message me multiple times with different questions. My inbox will be filled fast. At the same time, emailing the results to persons in a text files with their email addresses is faster and easier for me. I also wish to keep results to forum members only. I am not forcing you to give me your email. I DONT NEED to send u the results if u dont want it.

At the same time, you could also make a ***** email.

You just update the first post in this thread with results, if it's to large for some strangely unknown reason, you can post the ,txt as an attachment.

      Next excuse?

Your entire first post is underscore, bold, italic, size 80, and God knows what else. If you are "trying to make it private", you don't have to purchase HB to make a forum account here, so what exactly is keeping it "private and in the community".

Ok, so I guess your just a troll. But since it was too much, this is the answer to your question "I also wish to keep results to forum members only.". .I dont want any random person without a membership to be able to find the text file.

I hope this was understandable. If not,try google translate or contact someone that can translate it in your language.

This initiative could prove to be useful, but I have my doubts whether reporting should be done the way the initiator suggests.
This matter involves the entire botting community, so there's nothing against publishing the findings on this forum.
Why it has to be done by using people's private email, is not clear to me.

I would be very cautious providing email addresses and other related information that could provide a way to trace it back to your WoW account.

So IF you really want the initiator of this project to know your email address, I would strongly suggest to use a newly created email address, only to be used for this purpose.

Do I trust the initiator? No, but in the world of botting, nobody can be trusted.
Even botters report eachother in-game, so trust is non-existent in this world.

Moreover, for all we know, this could be a clever attempt to find out certain particulars about other people's WoW account.

      So please be careful.
