I get banned a lot, mostly for swearing and calling alliance a bunch of pussies. But never for botting 24/7. I have over 20 level 90's with full 466 gear I just rotate the toons and try to do something different each day. Questing one day. farming the next, BG etc. But you just have to not give a shit and know that at anytime you can be banned. They can ban you for anything, they hold all the cards.

Thank you mspazz for your effort to write for us this guide. I like it very much.

I have questions that maybe could answer me. I'm a freshman here but already got banned. I wish I read this thread earlier.

I was banned at the end of Feb 2013 for owning the auction house ;)
But I was surprised that only other botters immediately started to report me when they noticed what's goin on. Maybe because they knew whats goin on ;) But they are still active...

I'm wondering how it's possible that some of them botting like 14h/7d and none take care about them.
They reported me, so I reported them. Nothing has happened.

I asked my friend to report them, but the general opinion in my guild is, that it's not worth doing anything, and most of them clearly refused. Maybe they use HB as well ;)

      So my questions are:
      1. Does it work when someone reported me with several different characters within the same account?
      2. How many people/characters had to report me to pay Blizz attention?
      3. Does it make sense using similar profile based on TSM sell items on AH? Of course according to your advises and being more careful - lets say for 4h a day?
      4. Does it work to sell gold for the real money by making someone guild master, and leave a guild full of gold?
      5. How to find out if my next account was marked? Creating a new character changes situation?

I really appreciate if someone more experienced will find time to answer me or indicate where to look for the answers.

      Thank you!

I was in Jade forest the other day on my 86 shaman, when there was a feral 90 druid doing the cloud serpent dallies, just running into a tree with a mob the other side, he couldn't hit the mob but the mob could hit him, druid kept using heals and barskin etc so I watched for a few minutes, then decided to see what would happen if I hit it, so I dropped a totem so that hit it first, druid then comes over and kills my totem, so then I decided to kill him, it was clear he was botting, so some people just ask for it...

This is a good guide, and like other replies, how to bot properly (if you can even say it like that) is used with common sense! I also have one tip of advise that I wish I did in the past, and now Im doing it now. A few weeks ago my ONLY account that I had for wow got a perm ban for hacking (botting). I was sooo mad because everything was on that account and I DID NOT want to start all over again. I did email Blizzard twice and finally got my account unbanned. Now, I leave my previous account (the one that was banned) bot free. I created another account, and that will be used as my botting account for farming and lvling toons. I will only have one toon on that account for farming and everything i farm will be mailed to my alts. So if that account gets banned OH WELL ha.

Well written and helpful guide. Some botters will definitely reconsider their botting style.

Wow to the amount of people got banned today (including me). Let me tell you they either really detect HB or the relogger that can be found on these pages. Watch out.

In light of recent bans to hit GB2 users im highlighting posts that i have put up in my Drogofarm profile threads

      HB plugins for safety
      -parrots paranoia plugin
      -Logmeout
      -Gankoff

Using GB2 without these plugins can be dangerous at times depending on your server size/pvp realm/SoR acc ect ect ect

As u are all aware botting can be dangerous at times. Even using my public/private/custom profiles does not exempt u from bans. We have all noticed a more aggressive stance taken against botters recently from blizz due to quicker reactions from Gms from player reports. I will be highlighting some of the measures that can be taken to avoid u being detected and circumvent bans

Me personally, I change profiles every time my bags are full
I never send anything via mail
All transactions are done thru guild bank
Always post on AH on diff toon to the one u farm
try not to use a lvl 1 as your auction toon
dont advertise too much in trade that u have heaps mats
Dont flood the AH, after bags are full, deposit into gbank, log onto ah toon and place on ah, thus never flooding AH
Dont undercut by ridiculous amounts, non bot farmer hate this and will report u
Always use logmeout and parrots paranioa plugin for stucks, timers and in case u are followed or targeted(especially targeted)
      Take breaks.
set logmeout to log u out after 1 min of being targeted, this way u can c who it was that targeted u in your logs and avoid that person(save to friends list)
Save normal (non bot) farmers to your friends list and dont farm in areas they are farming, Other bots are usually safe. but i friend them anyways so my yields are much higher since i dont have to compete with them.
never keep large amounts of gold on your bot account, keep it all in gbank with a vanilla acc as Guild master that is never botted on, Dont even pay monthly fee for this acc. This is called a mule acc and is a safety backup so that u can acsess your gold after ban/hack.
      Dont bot 24/7
Try to steer clear of SoR accs.

Most bans come from flagged accounts, how and why we get flagged is always a mystery (player reports make up most flagged accs)but these measures should help.

I hope this helps u all.
NEVER EVER EVER BOT ON ACCOUNT U ARE AFRAID TO LOSE.

If you keep mailing mats from one bot account to the non bot account, blizzard can (and will) ban you for abusing the economy :)

i havnt used mailbox in years, not even 1 item, way way way to dangerous, there is a tripwire in the mail that will auto suspend acc if too much is being fed into it.

      How safe is this?

Having my main account with numerous level 90's as a guild master of a guild and just throw all the mats I farm on my farmer account into that guild, aswell as the gold. If I start withdrawing it on my main a few hours later will that get it banned? I had my farmer account perma banned but got it down to a 72 hour and my main was left untouched, never botted on my main account and I never will so dont want to do the guild thing if it puts it at risk.

I wouldnt have your main attatched to your farmer in any way, even thru gbank, mules have been banned in the past, its rare but it does happen, especially if they do a check with your ip ect ect. Be much more carefull now that u have had a ban overturned, they will be watching.

I see, thanks for the info. I'm currently paying for 2 accounts at the moment I dont really want to make a third account just to have it as a mule. Any other suggestions to moving around the mats and the gold. I'm not in this to famr and sell the gold, I just want to make as much gold as possible for myself

it's a very good guide, but honestly:

starting a setup like this is only for old members and experienced members.

i think for 1 or 2 account's it isn't worth the time to go deep into the possible HB-Settings, Relogger-Settings, Demonbuddy Settings etc. Level this, level that, start a guild, buy a guild, add friends, remove friends, watch friends etc. etc.

Always with a bad feeling "is 5hours a day too much?" (hell, no!) , stupid (risky?) RAF/gametime removed (i dunno what's blizzard next idea...), and a weekly revenue of ~30k? Gold per account.

Botting is only interesting if the cashflow is nice.

And Honorbuddy is actually not worth the time in comparison with the risk and gold revenue.

I learned to LOVE Diablo 3 botting in the last months, but i learned to HATE WoW botting in the last time.

Honorbuddy urgently needs improvement and BETTER guides, more simple, more time effective... otherwise it's crap

Well then Ill just open trade with my toons, but in small increments, and sell a small amount on the AH.

I currently have two accounts, one is my main with a Paladin i've had since Vanilla wow, 9 years old account with a 90 Priest, 90 Mage and 90 Rogue on it.

I have a second account, with a 90 Hunter (Was used for GB2 but it got a 72 hour ban and Ive barely jumped in and done GB2 since that ban), but I have been leveling a druid on that account, currently level 70. Is there any form of risk of bring the druid over to my main account as soon as it hits 90, the accounts are both in my name, main account is paid on my credit card and I use game codes for the second account.

Only thing im worried about is bringing it over then the druid gets a late ban and it'll be then on my main account
