So I recently re-downloaded World of Warcraft and I had to accept a security agreement which said that World of Warcraft was allowed to scan my machine, obviously as a security measure against all the people botting these days. So yeah my question is, how safe is it to bot now? Has anything changed? I know the general rules on how safe botting is already so that's nothing new to me, I was always very safe with my botting and I only ever got myself suspended by botting BGs for 72+ hours non stop.

Anyone else seen this confirmation screen on the Blizzard website?

I am curious about the same. Been having a long break now since all my friends got banned for botting. Is it safe now? How safe? Is it still highly unsafe to leave a herb/mining bot on at night?

You've been agreeing to that security rule for almost as long as you've played, rather you knew so or not. It's been a part of the ToS for years now. It's nothing new.
