      This bot is terrible

Seriously. I feel it couldn't get any worse.

      a) It's slow. Bots tend to have a worse performance than human beings; specially in a game like HS. So the bot will usually get less gold/exp/wins on average. At LEAST you would expect the bot to perform tasks quick; so that in the long run, you would perform worse but faster. Seriously. It seems most of the time the bot takes is to log stuff (that NOONE cares about) on the bot screen.

      b) It makes terrible choices. Yes you don't expect a bot to do some crazy combos and whatnot. But this bot cannot even take a REALLY simple decision that involves using one card only.
      Examples:
      > Enemy has a 2/5 taunt creature. You have a 2/2 in the field. The bot casts Leeroy, then hits the 2/5 with the 2/2, and THEN with Leeroy. What the hell? Not even the computer AI would do this.
      > Enemy has a 1/1 creature with some sort of ability (like a hurt northshire cleric). When playing a rogue (without rush mode) instead of hitting that creature with the dagger, it goes for face.
      > Enemy has a 5/1 creature and you have a 1/1. Your 1/1 goes to face.......

      c) The bot lacks obvious playing mechanisms. Such as attacking before playing cards. Example: you have an 5/5 creature on the board. Enemy has nothing. Instead of attacking and THEN summoning the next creature, the bot plays cards and leaves any kind of attacking for the end. I don't have to tell how screwed this becomes especially when playing against almost ANY hunter deck (explosive trap).

      d) The bot doesn't understand what MOST (if not all) cards with powers do. Playing cards like Vanish when enemy has no creatures and you do, and ALSO casting it BEFORE attacking (see point "c"). Sure you might ask why you would use vanish, but that's not my point, because I'm sure I could try all cards and most of them would be wrongly used. I have also seen the bot "restore to full health and give taunt" to 1/1 creatures.

      e) The bot makes some VERY basic mistakes like hitting with a rogue dagger, and passing without re-charing dagger at 3 mana left.

TL;DR: this "bot" has no AI, it just picks random cards and plays them. Literally anyone could make anything better than this. I respected the buddy team because some bots like D3 work pretty well; and free bots wouldn't get even close to demonbuddy. But this one... shame on you, how are you even charging $$$ to people for this? You guys are ruining your own name and reputation. Should at least make the bot free and have it tested and improved by the community until you have something at least DECENT, this is really lame.

      Bot in beta.
      User API not out yet.
The word BETA sums everything up.

Come back in a few months when its out of beta and Users had time to mess with the API to make it to X when X happens OR IF X HAS X do this When playing X on Hero X

For where the bots at and the Dev saying there going for a 60-85% winrate its showing that when its done and Out of beta the bot could be closer to 85%

So the 'beta' word is used as an excuse? Beta means that you're paying for something and you get absolutely nothing, but you cannot complain because it's "beta"? I've seen nearly fully functional programs on a beta phase; this program isn't even 5% functional yet buddy team are already charging for it. They should add a free trial if the beta is this bad. Or allow a refund; because as I said before - It's fine if the bot is being developed, but it feels plain wrong that they are already selling this while it's just trash.

As for win rate, do you realise what you just said makes no sense? There is a lot of RNG involved in the game, that alone makes perfect bot vs decent player a 50/50. Perfect bot is nearly impossible to make due to the high amount of scenarios that can be in the game (trillions). So a real win rate you could expect can NEVER be over 50%. You cannot play 1 game at rank 20, win it, and say the bot has 100% win rate. Go learn some basic math.

Is it necessary to make a forum post about this? I didn't expect for the bot to work well anyways, and I still bought it. Simply because I know everything will get fixed and I've been very happy with other buddy bots

I do agree with points Macro made. It really feels like bot is making decisions too slowly and many decisions are really stupid.
However, I believe the bot will be much better in months and community devs will make awesome profiles(advanced logic, deck making, etc) once APIs are released.

To be honest, the bot is not performing well now in my opinion. How about you guys warn potential purchasers that the bot is in early beta stage and has many flaws at the moment? Maybe less people will be angry if they purchase it knowing that it won't do very good in beta.

How many games is you guys stat based on? Dont tell me you win 6 out of 8 then come onto here bragging about it...right now the best winrate would be around 50 after hours and hours testing..I dont feel the team should update faster.Like killing the taunt smarter.

I had a 48% winrate over 126 games last night. This was on Rogue. It's not the best winrate possible, but I could spend the time the bot was farming wins sleeping. So the bot AI currently might be bad, with the right deck it still goes nearly 50/50. And given that it's just in beta, I can only see the winrate going up.

I get around 50% in ranked with most classes and basic decks. Not bad for beta imo and it will only get better.

While I agree with your points I have to say 2 things.
      1. You can still easily pull of 50% winrate and farm gold with this. And thats what a bot in hearthstone is all about. You can't expect a bot to do good in ranked.
      2. The bot is slow because the game is slow. While a human player knows what happens when he plays for example concecration, the bot has to wait until all animations are done.
In the earlier beta versions the bot would act very fast, which led to actions like he tried to attack minions that were already dead.

I think most people are just disappointed with the Buddy team when HearthCrawler is 10x better right now. Most people feel safer with HearthBuddy but knowing there are better bots out there grinds on them.

I will say that the logic when it comes to attacking taunts is pretty bad. I often see it attack a taunt with multiple minions when a single (stronger) minion would have been enough. I've also seen the bot skip attacking a taunt minion when it could have kill both the minion AND the other player in the same turn had it done so. These problems have existed for a long time now. It also has way too many infinite loops (attacking a Mage with Ice Block, attacking stealthed minions, etc.).B

As much as I like Tony, saying "70%" win ratio.. doesn't really mean anything... Just let us know at which ranked lvl you are getting 50%..

Anyhow... the bot is still in beta and as someone that have bought lifetime, I'm not using it yet.. but I know it will be great when it's getting more developed, based on Honorbuddy's reputation..

      my current from today.

I've ran for about 48 hours before, about 65% winrate after about 200 games with my deck. No legendaries several bought cards with dust and a couple from packs.

All I'm asking is for the bot to perform BASIC tasks properly. Such as, not missing LETHAL. I am talking about simple lethal here, not any complex stuff: the current (not even potential!) damage of your on-board minions + the damage on your hand (including charge/weapons). Currently, it fails. I am not trying to be harsh here but missing obvious lethal a LOT of times is probably as bad as it can go, it honestly feels like you're scamming people. Not enough devs/time to fix something as basic as this? FINE! then just allow refunding keys or trial versions.

It appears also that admins have changed the thread title to 'bot statistics'. That's disgusting. Not only showing disappreciation to feedback, but also a sign of terrible math/logic skills. There are NO statistics to discuss, a bot win rate averages to <50% on a ranked system. It's no rocket science, a 80% win rate is bullshit, going from rank 20 to rank 15 with a 80% win rate and then conceding back to 20 while bot is off IS NOT A 80% WIN RATE. There are a lot of ways to clearly show why win rate averages to <50%; one of them is if you put 50 bots to fight against each other with the same deck (that you people claim has >50% WR). It is not possible that the average win rate is above 50% (in fact, it is exactly 50%).

Then you might say, that depending on a deck, a win rate can be lower or higher. YES. That's why saying the bot always has 50% win rate (as seen in other threads) is wrong as well. The bot's win rate is BETWEEN 0% and 50%. A bot with less than 50% win rate will decrease it's rank until it reaches a rank where it can sustain a ~50% win rate (or not, if it hits rank 20). A bot with more than 50% win rate will go higher in rank, until it's win rate ALSO sticks at ~50%. Even a completely perfect bot, that is better than the best hearthstone players, could never go over a 50% win rate because it would reach a scenario (rank 1 legend) where 2 bots would be fighting each other endlessly, both with a.......... 50% win rate.

Hope it got cleared now. Also, going to the school is free.

This is exactly the point, why we haven't gotten our hands on early/beta releases in the past with other products. People DO NOT understand, that an unfinished product, doesn't perform as well as a finished one.

Instead of being happy that they already have a buddy product for a new game, instead of being happy that they can contribute and therefore influence (if entitled) the development of something new, they simply go full retard and complain wherever the fuck possible.

Seriously, sometimes i really wish the times back, where you had to write everything on your own (profiles, paths, "custom classes", ...), so all the "wtf bot is out for x weeks and i'm still not legendary rank wtflolcrapbot" people would be exluded. Those days we had a way higher "standard" in forum communication, same goes for respect and treatment towards the devs as somehow everybody was kind a dev, no matter if someone "only" did profile writing or more complex stuff like custom classes.

Guys the Bot is at BETA stage. If you do not know what BETA means please come back when we have a final release.
There is no week without several updates atm. so bot development makes progress very fast.
If you are not happy with the actual state or think you found a bug then just report this in the support section with a brief description and attach a logfile.

EARLY ACCESS and BETA does not mean without failures!
Do not expect everything being fixed within hours or a feedback to everything.
Some people really think that if they get no answer after 5 minutes in the middle of the night DEVs are doing a bad job. That's Bullshit!

If there is something to communicate --> WE DO!
If there is nothing new beside normal bug fixing and developing, WE DO NOT, we just release a new version.
