So, I took my time to let the heat from the moment get down a little and called Blizz today.

Got a very prick and arrogant GM, that come with the same scripted bullshit that you get on email, "we are not going to overtune the ban, because we have solid proof", and so on.

But I had a solid case on my side, because after I lost my main account last month, I was very cautions on this second. Leveled to 100 by hand, never used any automation, and was just using Raidbot with one selected CR, using CD's all by my judgement. So I know that they had very little evidence of botting, and standing confident, denying all accusations he was throwing at me.

After some arguing from my part, he come with: "Lets cut the bullshit, I cannot reveal any of our proofs for security reasons, but I can tell you how easy is for us see that you have been botting. I bet that you don't had any good answer for this things that is all on your system."

"First, you have 16GB of RAM, and Win64, but is using Wow in 32 bits, degrading the game performance for running the game in a "emulated" mode instead of native. You need to dig deep on game settings to change that. No one do that, unless for a very specific thing.

Second, running the game on windowed mode, another thing that decrease game performance. While some people use this mode, is very uncommon.

Third, click to move enabled. I don't need to talk about this one, period.

Fourth, vcredist_x86. This is a very, very uncommon install, very few computers have it, but, that's is the catch, your bot cannot run without it.

Fifth, you have Bossland and honorbuddy all over you registry file and also, look that! a folder Bossland\Honorbuddy in your AppData folder!

      Any more questions?"

I was feeling so embarrassed that I had to hang up the call.

Just to add up, I was running HB from a unmaped network drive. Had it on my NAS, and invoked the exe using a bat file. Doens't matter right? Bossland is so confident that need to write his name on registry and folders. Right!

That got me under the skin, was unaware of registry and folders, because we are trying to fly under the radar here, right?? Who thinks that's is a good idea to write the name of the bot and the company that make it all over the place?

Sounds like a load of shit to me.

So many things there, I don't believe in various ways one whether they can know or see that and 2 the facts you say they stated.

      For 1 - vcredist_x86

That is not really a very rare software, I work in IT and install that package quite often for various apps the campus uses.

2- While they may be able to, I don't believe they have full access to see everything in your registry. (and on the note of the bossland, I and probably most users have seen those folders in your app data so shouldn't be too much of a surprise)

3- Windows mode is not a major thing, even before and when I don't bot, I use windows mode as it makes it easier to alt tab.

      1) There is other bot that also run only on 32bit version of WoW that wasn´t targeted by this banwave so his users are still botting
      2) I run my main account that I never botted on in Windowed mode, 80% of my guild is using windowed mode due to problems with Fullscreen mode - DC when alttabed during loading etc.
      3) Yes, click to move is rare, but not used only by botters. Old school players also use it, since they are used to this kind of movement
      4) Every developer on Windows platform have this installed on his computer and many programs also use this library - it is nothing rare
      5) Blizzard can´t scan your computer. There is privacy law that forbidden it. Part in EULA that is everyone referring to is used to scan WoW memory space by warden.

There is strong chance that current detection wasn't client side, but server side - blizzard didn't touch your PC in any way to detect that you were using HB.

PS: I really dont know, why is everyone so crazy about bans... You are banned for 6m and? Just create another account as always.

You gave it a try but didn't worked.

Next time try again, after getting more solid education into the computers, regulations etc.

i downloaded FF14 and it starts in windowed mode. if it didnt, id have to change it because i have two monitors and need to swap my mouse back and forth.
if 'running in 32b' was a clue and only available, is that the only reason it exists? wouldnt it have better to just not make it available?

that redist is used by older programs that still work,

bossland having his name on a folder is no worse than running honorbuddy.exe. and couldnt they just search your box for 'mesh', xml file names that include [H] 90-92

US has different privacy laws that EU so i really cant respond to trix, but they can scan anything with your consent in the US. try to stop them, the NSA will come to your house and kill your dog.

for someone running CS for this event, knowing they would be recorded, this isnt very professional.

      probability=03%

Everything you mentioned is absolute nonsense.

My GPU crashes a lot in X64 bit mode because the drivers are crap and the card was discounted, but if any of this has merit this is the only obvious clue aka if they ran the x64 client they were probably not botting. I hardly know anyone who plays in Fullscreen mode because the performance gain is minimal at the loss of dual monitor control and alt-tabbing. Not even sure how click to move means anything. Tons of players get lazy and click to move around when eating or whatever. The vcredist_x86 thing is just flat out wrong, so this list is probably falsified, and if WoW were scanning outside of its registry and folder structures is just plain not legal and would result in another class-action lawsuit.

I use CTM because I started playing WoW after Diablo 2 for 7 years. It's just normal for me.

Cheatbuddy, in 3 years on this forums I learned at least one thing.
People are talking a lot of shit to try to get some kind of attention. I don't know why, maybe they have a shitty life and need to make up stories on the Internet to feel better.

But if you really are so clever and called Blizzard and actually got a GM to talk about things like that. Which I tell you right away I believe you are a lying shithead.
Then why didn't you record the call? Everyone has mobile phones these days or record function in skype.

Unless there is one single person who does that and posts the audio, gtfo.
People like you should be banned for life from this forum for posting stuff like that.

I personally have spoke to GM's admitting certain things everyone is different, I did something wrong a few years back not bot related but confessed which was a banable offense but they corrected my account and went right into detail his exact words were I am not really allowed to do this or tell you this but under this circumstance I will do this the one time only more or less.

and sooner or later u should fess up that this post is a crock of crap because if its not u should get a lawyer and file a class action suit straight away. Because half of what u said is in direct viilation of court orders and infringeges on privacy acts of multiple countys....

I accepted writing I did not read which I should have this won't give me a leg to stand on in my case I accepted some Eula which I don't read half the time, then a small game update followed by Blizzard scanning through my folders, all I can see on the program was looking for blizzard games I personally think this was an attempt to find hb on my system how can I prove that, it was not so obvious at the time I just killed it as it happened as a precaution. First thing that went through my head was in all my years of playing they have never scanned my computer for Blizzard games why now? then I went from 32 bit to 64 bit which also questioned me.

      1. 16gb of RAM Win64 but running in 32bit, eh I can see this one but when I ran in 32bit all of the time (Just easier for when I botted to not switch between) I never noticed a performance decrease when I was actually raiding/playing by hand, maybe some people get a decrease but I never noticed anything.

      2. Everyone I know runs the game in Windowed mode, so they can tab easily out and back in to the game to view wowhead or change music or something like this. This one is bullshit completely.

      3. I can see this, click to move is annoying as shit.

      4. VCRedist_x86 is actually not uncommon install I have it on every single computer I run even if I don't bot, its also something we include in our image at work for one reason or another. This one is also bullshit.

      5. This one is the only super obvious part and even then... They are looking at your registry, what happens if I have some confidential stuff installed on my computer and no one is allowed to know, suddenly I give up my privacy and my works privacy because I play wow, seems completely fucky to me. Also I'm curious did you use the installer or just extract? If just extract why does honorbuddy write to registry instead of files? Curious.
