      Don’t want a ban? Guess what……don’t bot…...it’s that simple.

You know the risks, there is always a chance you’ll get caught, I have been banned 3 times now and the last time in the back of my mind I knew it was coming. First 2 times I took complete liberty’s botting the hell out of wow. The last time i was using ONLY combat routines as I foolishly thought I might be ok, but hey-ho there you go. I’ll make another toon I don’t care about, until my main account is un - banned in May, and believe me on that main account I will NOT be botting again, but on other accounts I will be, given HB is still around and I hope they are. Blizzard have made the AP grind a little easier now, although it’s still pain in the arse.

Why is everyone giving Honourbuddy such a hard time? When I first got my bot about 5 years ago, to be honest, I was expecting to pay something around £10 a month, but instead it was around £25 for a lifetime key, I remember thinking at the time, how do these guys keep a steady cash flow as that seems waaaaay too cheap to me.

I only brought my new key just a few days ago, and I DO NOT want my money back at all, the £25 I paid for nearly 5 years of botting and what I got out of it, tidal wave Dwarfs a measly £25 for a new year key. How on earth do people expect honourbuddy to get around blizzards wardens system without generating cash. I for one do not blame HB for removing lifetime keys.

Does any of the endless whiners in these forums realise the trouble and hard work it is for the HB team to fight blizzard by way of court/re-writing the program every patch/trying to outsmart warden, and even appreciate any of their hard work it at all?

Blizzard are no fools and their warden system is hard to outsmart since they seem to update it at the push of a few buttons, do people expect HB to know about a random update from blizzards side, how? It’s just one of those things. Not a fuck up at all.

You put money in the fruit machine or lottery and you lose, you cannot blame anyone but yourself, and you certainly don’t get your money back.

Why is no one asking blizzard for their new legion key money back? But feel it’s cool to ask HB for their key money back, even though it clearly states when you buy the bot, it can be detected, be careful, it is against blizzard’s ToS to use.

If HB fall, blizzard will feel it in their bank balance, fair enough they will not by any means close them down, but they will most defiantly FEEL it in their pockets, as droves of subscriptions drop. I personally will quit the game if HB falls as I’m too busy working/lazy and CBA to smash the rotations and grind myself.
I think in pvp botters affect the game most definitely as far as enjoyment for other players goes, I get that. But as far as bot farming materials and especially just to do rotations goes, I feel this does not affect the gameplay of others or as blizzard always say “effects the economy” yes it does affect “THEIR” economy, they are just pissed someone is making a dollar off them.
On the topic of economy’s, one last thing I think will happen if HB quit altogether. The AH prices will go through the roof as people just cannot help themselves with this game and their greed. All these people the “honest players” who are always saying good riddance after each ban, I would like to say this to you. When you are paying 30k for a gem and 5k per potion, I would like to laugh in your face, preferably sideways and say “can’t afford it? Go buy a token from blizzard for £15” and suck on it.

Blizzard will recuperate their losses from selling these gold tokens when the bots are gone, now ask yourself this:

      Who are the real crooks?

Good luck and respect to all at Honour buddy, I salute you!

i was wondering if it was "sure" that if you bot on a second account, your main account will be perfectly safe ? even if it's on the same computer, sharing the same internet box etc ? Maybe a noob question but i'd like to be sure and have some feedback from people who've been botting on other accounts than their main's one. And what about sending gold / stuff to your main account ?

      thank you !

You pay in advance to rent an account from Blizzard, with the agreement that they can terminate it whenever and why-ever they want.
If they deem that your main account has benefitted in any way from your bot account, you can get banned.

I agree.... You can't just join and say quit crying... And don't get me a sob story saying you forgot your other accounts password... These ban waves have been ridiculous... HB is headed toward the end of their days... 1/2 Accounts of mine are banned, don't really have anything to complain about, but the performance of HB lately... You can see when companies put great effort in their product and Bossland hasn't the past 5-6 months.. It's quite sad because it use to be the best bot out there but as of now I really don't think it is.

You really are the naive stupid moron.

Moaners or cryers have their role in this process as do you, the ass kissers.

Cryers and Moaners keep management here in line and scared that if they don't produce a quality product they will be held accountable by some who won't just kiss ass aka YOU.

Ass Kissers, like YOU, play a role also because you help management believe that if they can satisfy the CRYERS and MOANERS then they can probably stick around.

      Now on to the point....

A a developer of a piece of software it is your job to create a QUALITY product. Users expect that a product they buy works as designed. In this case the product is Honorbuddy and it is designed to circumvent Blizzard normal parameters and allow the software to control a character and perform certain functions automatically. The product is designed to do this in a undetected manner otherwise why build Tripwire to begin with. The product is marketed to end consumers to have a maintained tripwire product that protects the users from being caught. Granted all of this is against the games rules but it is how the developer markets the product that the end user bought. Now the end users know full well that it's not a 100% fool proof product and that from time to time they can get banned but it's expected to be lengthy periods between. Generally speaking the shorter the length means the less quality the product.

The moaners and cryers now are moaning because the developer is failing to protect the product. If the developer gets on his/her game and then starts to provide a higher quality product it will be mostly because of the pressure brought to bear because of the moaners and cryers not because of the ass kissers aka YOU.

So, by all means, continue to dig that nose in deep and get all that good stuff but allow the moaners to do their jobs also.

As for me I really don't feel one way or the other to be honest. I botted on HB for over 4 years now and I got my Eur25 back several times over, especially in the past year where I was able to make enough gold monthly to pay Blizz monthly fees via tokens. I know the score in terms of where everything is at. I believe HB will be done within a years time. The legal aspect has not been going good for them and their finances are drying up and as a result they are scrambling to get more funds which is driving away a fair amount of their customers. This cat and mouse game with finances and legal where you try to generate cash to help keep funding the legal will only work for so long especially when the bot is being detected every other month now.

My belief is that the quality of the bot is falling and fast to the point where it just makes no sense to resub. I resubed not because I feel that things would get better but because I felt almost like I owed it to them for the quality of the bot during the good times and it was kind of how I donated to their cause.

Honestly I have no issues with HB and Bossland. I believe they have had a good run but in the end Blizz will get their chunk of flesh and its more a matter of time than anything else.

I started looking for a new bot already, the one who will take up the mantle and run.

I wrote the to simply say that we all play a role and we should not jump on either party too hard because we all serve a purpose. If either side stops doing their job the bot itself will fail because some side got too complacent. That's all.

What probably bothers me most is that all this information is available all over the forums. They are public for God's sake, including the ban section. Just do like 20 minutes of research before buying a product whose makers warn you to use it carefully.

Seriously. Read through the forums people, the information already exists for you to make an informed decision. If your unhappy with the ban-wave, that's on you. And only on you.

      Not completely in agreement Soc....

This is what we call splitting hairs...

Bossland created a bot called Honorbuddy. The bot we are told can automate certain functions within the game. We are all aware that this action is against the EULA/TOC from Blizzard and if caught we could lose our account. This is true. We are also told that HB has a feature called Tripwire who's purpose is to protect us from changes to the WOW Client that allows Blizzard to detect us and ban us. This is the part most are pissed at. This part of the product is failing and while we expect fully that we can get banned we expect this to not be frequent because of the tripwire product. The problem now is we are being banned almost at will by Blizz meaning their product is failing. And people have a right to complain when some aspect of the product is not functioning as it should.

You surely would complain if the bot stopped picking up herbs or mines right? This is also a part of the bot. Would you be so happy if this did not work?

just dont bot on an account you dont want to lose.

if you bot you WILL get banned one day. the thing is just how long you will be able to run it without getting caught.

tripwire will only stop the methods they know of i guess. so stop supporting bad botbases that only make blizzard more aggressive and start working on finding every loophole that can detect the bot?

i dont even play the game for fun anymore. i just check bags, empty them, sell on ah, and get the gold going :p everything else is waste of time and money.

i dont get why ppl even use cr only when they know they will get hit in 2-6 months building a nice account just to start over again. Bg's gets you suspended within days maybe even hours. if you use it arena you get tons of report because ppl can actually tell the difference between a good player and a bot. (instant kick and instant reactions to what the enemy are doing) like DK's death grip the moment a druid or mage pops away the DG goes off even before the GCD is done for the blink.

raids is a bit harder to notice. atleast until the tripwire goes off and you do 50% of the dmg you usually do...

dungeonbuddy is good only if the whole team is you and your bots. try put a bot in a random group and its suicide....

Farming rep, mounts, transmog with the bot to start over every 2-6 months....

its plain stupid to even take that risk if you actually want the account and want to play it.

so stop crying abt lost wow accounts. you will lose it if you bot, if you dont want to lose it DONT bot easy as that.

The only thing you need a forum account for is to either ask for help with hb (unless the wiki solves it) or free released stuff such as profiles.
You don't need an account to download anything from this forum, so join date doesn't mean shit.

He isn't wrong though, most if not all of the information is accurate.

What a load of rubbish! :)

BosslandGmbH:HelpDesk:Is Botting Safe? - The Buddy Wiki

They always said you will get caught eventually :D The fact remains that HB is the best bot on the market and that's why Blizzard is always going after it, even with all this attention and the court cases the buddy team still keep their bot safer than any others! :) You are just a hater!

      Oooh what idiots we have...

Make no mistake... if you bot, you WILL eventually get caught. Not get caught every other day....EVENTUALLY. We have been caught 3 times in 3 months....

Unless we know better all we know is you are a 1 time poster who knows shit about ANYTHING.

My bad....let me correct that 2 time poster. People who create NEW accounts to post have something to hide either who they are or how stupid they are...my guess for you is the latter.

You know what I will stop responding to these stupid people. They will bring me down to their level and beat me with experience.

What the fuck are you on about? Lol. Bossland can't predict what Warden scans for.
However, the currently useless tool called Tripwire will close HB and WoW IF Tripwire sees that Warden is scanning the memory for OLD data (read old detection methods), that Tripwire know is "bad".
If Warden searches for something new, tripwire will be useless, yes.

Without insider information from the people working with Warden, it's impossible to maintain an undetected bot.
Blizzard themselves is probably downloading every single new version of Honorbuddy thats released, just to reverse-engineer it to see what new information they can find in order to make Warden more effective.

You knew the risks, you WILL get banned at some point, if you're unlucky or suicide botting.

And what, exactly, was inaccurate about my post? My post just tells people to go out and read stuff on their own. How can that even be considered inaccurate?
