What you have linked, is Blizzard vs Bossland and not Niantic vs Bossland. So: No.

OP didn't specify whom was doing the suing
Get out of here with your high and mighty "shut everyone down" mentality

OP's intention was most likely to post an interesting article they found

pokefarmer is not being sued, Bossland is being sued, and its been ongoing for several years now. Blizzard has been trying to shut down Honorbuddy for a long time, all of the other bots evolved around it, and now Bossland has a larger offering to more of Blizzards games which pisses them off further. Niantic in all likelihood does not have the financial clout of Activation to pursue legal discourse with Bossland.

You know you're big when Activision|Blizzard has a problem with you.

Niantic/Nintendo/PokemonCo certainly have enough money to come after anyone they want. They made so much bank last year on Pokemon, they are set for a while. Will they? Probably not, would be cheaper for them to figure out how to make the game better so bots aren't needed or don't work.

Actually, OP specified "pokefarmer" so which entity would possibly be doing the suing was abundantly clear, because I can't imagine Blizzard would have any interest in suing pokefarmer.

      Reading is handy.

To officially answer this question, as per the OP link, no, Pokefarmer is not being sued. Blizzard is however continuing its redundant crap against honorbuddy, this is however old news because as they sue for that, then Bossland can counter sue for something else. Its the "never ending battle".
