      Truth* in title

I was botting Since good ol' late vanilla.
I Used Mmoglider and then when it was closed i went into Gnomepocket (just bought a mac) and moved over to PC and used Honorbuddy for many years.

The only chance people used to get banned during Vanilla up to MOP was: 1) 24/7 which draw the attention of real human GMs who watched you and banned you 2) People reported you which forced a real GM to watch you and ban you - BUT HONORBUDDY WASNT DETECTABLE (nor was Glider)

Since WOD, I noticed that things had changed, Fansboys deny it and the devs here LIE to make money but the sad truth is - Honorbuddy SINCE WOD is 99.9999% detectable.

Plain and simply, you can play with tipewire, you can lie to yourself, but just know - Honorbuddy = A Ban.

People always used to say - Dont bot with what you cannot afford to lose, it was true in the past and its true now, only that in the past the odds of getting banned were so small and almost entirety up to you - now its just 99.99999% ban rate regardless of what you do, you can use HB once to try out a rotation bot in your garrison alone once and delete honorbuddy - Youll get banned.

It's never been about 'if' and always been about 'when'.

      Wrong, plain simply wrong.

Did you bot with mmoglider on vanilla TBC days?
Did you use honorbuddy at wrath and cata?

You have no idea what you are talking about, bann was a slim risk which was avoidable if you were a good botter, it wasnt always about when.

Every profile author and honorbuddy dev has said this very same line on this forum for years, YEARS.

You WILL get caught eventually, like you just did. Your situation literally proves my point- stop being dense.

There was banwaves before Honorbuddy and before WoD, please stop spreading dreams about the wonderful vanilla and how safe was to bot prior WoD.

You can only fool those, who are around since a year or two, but any veteran, botting from a while, perfectly knows, that Blizzard had performed enough banwaves in the past. In WoD+ mostly Honorbuddy is targeted, simply because the most or all other sophisticated and all-around bots have left the scene due legal issues with Blizzard.
I am sorry, but your statement is so absurd, that even Raphus ignored it with a short "ok.

The real difference prior/after WoD is that Blizzard no more permaban accounts by default, but just suspend them for a while.
While I had dozens of permabanned accounts up to MoP, with WoD I have just dozens of suspensions, which cools down sooner or later.

For example, y-day Blizz just applied 3rd offence of 18 months to my current batch of accounts. Nothing more or less.
Items in them are safe, guild banks are safe, anything. No more perma bans and banks, locked to closed accounts for eternity.

Was wondering how long one of these posts would take...

So what is considered a veteran because my account is literally almost a year older here than yours and i pretty much agree with the OP

Yes before WoD there were batch bans on suicide botters and gold farmers etc... but things did change in WoD they can and have been detecting injected tools and i'm not just talking about HB i'm talking about everything that was injected and of course HB looks like it was probably targeted because it had the biggest userbase and most accounts to lose.

I can tell you i started with Glider in late TBC and literally was botting when the massive Glider purge was handed down it was like 2 days after it happened that i was reading that they had a massive banwave on glider and was like oh wow.. i got super lucky.. but i have never really botted for profit etc.. always just for leveling or personal things.

Before i found this after Glider shut down i even used AIOBot which was meant to be super unsafe and never got a ban, before coming here in early 2010 so i have used this for a really long time and i completely agree, that while in the past there might have been batch bans for suicide botters and farmers, if you cared enough and didn't do super obvious and dangerous activities you could fly under the radar, this is no longer the case the truth is that since WoD it has been detected and thats fine a lot of people don't care and will continue to use the product. But let's be real the golden age is dead and it will never go back to how it was.

If you have not been banwaved, does not mean there was no massive banwaves in the past, right? For one, botting even with Glider, its quite odd to pretend that "banwaves" have started with Honorbuddy?!?

I can remember 2 banwaves myself, much more massive compared to any HB banwave in the last 2 years:
      - Pirox Archa banwave on 15.03.2011 - no idea how much accounts affected, but Pirox was the most sophisticated bot back then
      - PQR/PE banwave on 22.01.2014 - more than 400k accounts affected - some got account closures, others with 72h suspension + Final warnings only.
In this forum topic people mention even wider banwaves in Glider times - 700k account closures on 20.05.2008
      https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/14628453630

So please, do not cry out that its the end of the world, just because HB have received just another banwave.

You should probably read what I said without fanboiiing so hard... I literally said I botted through the glider purge (banwave) and didn't even realise it had happened until 2 days later.

I literally said that glider had a massive banwave and acknowledged there was other programs that got banwaves before honorbuddy and that HB had big batch bans before WoD.

But I guess when you can't argue that I'm a lowly noob who is new to the forums seeing as I've been around longer than You, you try to post holes in my logic by reiterating the points I already made... kind of counter intuitive and makes you look foolish and more concerned about white knighting so you can keep making money instead of actually reading what I wrote and posting a proper counter argument if there actually is one.

Actually Glider had two MASSIVE banwaves not one......

And Glider was detected so the initial story was in fact incorrect on this point.

Actually there were banwaves of bots before WoD but usually it happens just before closing the bot.
eBot, Gremlin/Mimic but it wasnt so often like now

Mate, please avoid "putting words in my mouth" when the truth is obvious from the posts above. I have never called you any of the offensive words you mentioned toward yourself and please stop offending me as well!
I suppose you can code stuff on the Buddy Store as well, you just need some time, desire and skills for it.
Btw, the forum account comparison is quite odd, so I would leave it as is ;)

With Glider one was midpoint and the other nearer to end....if my memory serves me correctly.

oh sorry, i actually did make some stuff for myself, although i don't need to sell things to make profit off people, like the rotations i make for some pixel based bots, that i give out freely to the people who will use them. and i would hardly refer to the things you make as skillful, you make a lot of things on the store, which don't really function well / incomplete or bug out / crash etc.. but the quality of your work isn't under scrutiny here more so your motives for the comments that you make which are driven by the fact that you make money here.

So i do actually have programming skills, but honestly little desire or time with real life commitments not to mention why would i want to code something for a program which in fact with 100% certainty will get me banned, even though i'm not even currently playing WoW seems kinda pointless.

and regardless of what is said.. the banwave kinda proves the fact that it's detected and that the banwaves are literally like 6 months in between every time.. but sure, continue to act like it's untrue.. lol

Also the forum account comparison is not odd at all, when you said to the OP

"You can only fool those, who are around since a year or two, but any veteran, botting from a while, perfectly knows, that Blizzard had performed enough banwaves in the past. In WoD+ mostly Honorbuddy is targeted, simply because the most or all other sophisticated and all-around bots have left the scene due legal issues with Blizzard."

well i'm a vet and i'm telling you yes blizzard has performed banwaves in the past VIA batch and detection and HB, right now.. is detected.

Mate, now please read the OP Yohaiw's topic #2, then read my answer on it, then you are welcome back here if you need to discuss it further ;) Have a nice day.

Regarding my store stuff, you are encouraged to request support in the appropriate forum section/discord, if you cant let them run with 100% AFK, as they are running for almost everyone else. Its my job to help with that, after all ;)

Btw the forum accounts comparison is odd yet, if you seek relation with the quote above ;)

Blizz adopts. So we should adopt too, to keep the pace.
