Cybot is up and running, they sell hourly licenses, i went that route until HB gets patched up. Spending $8 and having a bot is better than spamming F5 on this forum and getting pissed off.

Do buddies have life-time subscriptions now?

I know they said honorbuddy will be down for a week, I know people are out of line telling them to hurry up and demanding it be done soon, but.... Could admin please create a sticky that is locked so that I don't have to look through 100+ pages of whinging in order to find the one or two posts by a dev.

I think it would cut down on a lot of the "whats going on posts" if we could go to one simple thread postable only by admins that included informative posts ie Dev version released, currently addressing custom class issues etc

If people can see progress is being made, they are less likely to keep asking when or abusing the devs (who do a great job btw) and be more supportive.

      Just my two cents....

Everyone has a lifetime subscription, everyone is equal.

As a fellow Software Engineer, i can imagine the stress and pressure the devs are feeling right now, pressure that could lead into mistakes and more downtime... I hope you guys can understand this.

Nevertheless i feel that the preparations for this week failed, something that the project manager should've had planned more carefully. Opening a twitter account for each project and updating regularly your clients with development status kinda helps in this situations.

      Just my 2c.

Devs: You guys are amazing, don't forget to eat properly, have some breaks and be with your family :)

Many suggested that they do so. Be patient, soon)

They can take as long as they need. In reality, the longer it takes, the more stable and efficient the bot will be.

      Patience is a virtue.

I agree but I think they could remove a lot of the ambiguity regarding what is actually happening by creating a quick reference point, 1 sticky or twitter feed (as mentioned by jfvibe) where people can go to get updates without having to sift through a thread with 100+ pages in order to find the information regarding the progress of the bot.

I don't care how long they take to get it right but what I find frustrating is not being able to find direct information about the status of the bot.

interestingly said but you clearly have never worked on a project development group as you know deadlines are set by both parties and if they aren't met penalties will be had.

That is perfect! But only those on the IRC get that update. Being at work I can't leave IRC open all day but if someone (preferably an admin who can lock the thread off from clutter) can post that on a sticky that people can check for updates, I guarantee there will be a lot more happy users.

In general yes you would be right. However most of HB's customer base for the most part have lifetime accounts. HB is supporting that account type with updates that are badly needed. I doubt at this point the concern for money over releasing a stable product is at the high point of their updates.

While I too await impatiently for the updates to roll out I know the dev team is chewing thru tons of code and trying to make this a stable transition for everyone.

I say take your time. In fact I wouldn't release anything until panda hits just to make extra sure everything was nice n tight.
