Blizzard just introduced a new mechanic that will make server first level 100's more difficult, and botting/grinding for xp and possibly gold? There is now a background script running in the game - it keeps track of how many of the same types of mobs you are killing, when it detects that you pass the "exploit" threshold, it drops pve experience by 90%! Watch this video, you can see the game lets him farm these mob packs for a short while giving 430xp per kill, then after a couple minutes the xp drops down to 43 and will just sit there, if you want normal XP again you need to go kill something else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TquWAAWqNg
Sounds pretty good, makes people actually do quests. The question is does it affect gold and drops? Does it affect rep you get?
Sounds good? Basically they are *****ing down on exploiting and botting If HB does not get destroyed before the EXP is out I can see HB taking 3 months or so trying to make it work with WOD. Just goes to show they are *****ing down on all exploits in wow including botting.
yes because theres no good 100% afk profile for pandaland, so i just let it grind from 85 to 90 cause i dont give a shit
Grinding all the way is a good way to get noticed. Besides questing and dungeons are faster and yield better gear. I believe in character development, this includes botting. Questing and dungeons not only give exp and equip it gives you rep which comes in handy.
actually questing works great, leveled several chars last week and had to do something manually only 3-4 times, those damn rabbits in four winds are really awful, a human can barely survive on those 2-3 quests a bot just dies and dies ( no point reporting it to Kick since i don't think he can fix issue in any way, its simply to hard area for LVL 86/87 char)
It won't work so great in WoD though. Lots of quests are going to be buggy and the bot will need a lot of babysitting. It's always like that with new content.
Recently they talked about tagging mobs etc. They will have super increase respawn rate at the start of WoD in order to let people complete quests when 100 other players are around...but also they don't want some people exploit it and camp same mobs for fast xp...so my bet is that this will only happen at first months and it will not be terrible...it will not let you grind same mobs on a 50-100 radius I guess..so, grinding profiles should cover large areas instead of using 3-5 hotspots and grind an area with fast spawn rates.
Grinding 16/7 on last year with skinning = no ban , Gatherbuddy for 2 hours = all accounts banned. Thats my esperience.
There may be LCP detection but that doesnt mean GB2 is detected.... Just dont be stupid, try and randomise as much as possible, use rndbuddy for a start....
Don't think this is that big of a deal. Questing/dungeons are better than grinding for EXP anyways and HB regardless will be down a month after release so we'll all just have to hand level up like everyone else. Going forward I'm sure Kick's or w/e will get updated with the new quests.
