what is the point of farming embersilk cloth and hypnotic dust?

Hello fellow Buddys!

Been reading abit about dungeon farming, and about how much embersilk cloth and hypnotic dust people get, it all sounds very interresting but can someone inlighten me about the point of selling either embersilk or dust? I mean, in WoD, even tho you start from level 1 with a proffession ( with the book that teaches you how to reach 700 ) you get some starter recipes, so why even bother with low level material?
