hey i want to put it out there everyone that botting and has been banned once already should be using a mac address changer i really think they keep track of your system when you have been banned..i even reformatted my computer....since i have changed my mac address i have been botting about 4 hours a day with no problems so far since the last update from honorbuddy..

i really think if you were nabbed in the 22nd ban wave and you go load right back up and start botting again you will get banned unless you make some changes...if you dont use a vpn...shut main modem off in house and computers off for half the day...or release and renew ip...to get new one....reformat computer...then use mac address changer one i use us free called technitium mac address changer v6 ---very ezy to use and it stays changed...

we need to make it harder for blizz to keep tabs on us...

      good luck

ps ill keep you updated on my progress

really think this is just paranoia. I run my accts doing pet farming 24 hours a day, all from the same computer, same battlenet, same wow installation, same ip, same mac, same everything.

There is 0 reason, and I mean 0 fucking reason, for blizzard to go through all these extra fucking steps when Warden can immediately detect hooks into game memory.

This only helps against manual bans. GM's going after serious RWT and Gold Sellers. 99% of the honorbuddy community is not effected.

Please stop spitting this paranoia. You'll be banned for either hooking into LUA or Starlight Rose farming, just like everyone else

im talking about when you have been banned im only using a single computer as soon as i start botting right away i get ban again...when i use a mac address changer and change my ip i dont....so its something i do because im pretty sure they log that info and monitor your activities once you been caught ,,this way you look like a new person.. it doesnt take much time. just like being ip banned your on this list....

if your not worried about it thats fine...just some info for poeple that i seen been asking

If that was the case, all accounts with same IP would be banned; this does not happen. Also, you don't have to be a gold seller, dedicated farmer, 24-hour botter, or do any extreme behavior to get banned. You can be a minimal player, just botting a couple of hours occasionally for enjoyment and still be banned. If you bot, you will be banned, it's just a matter of time. Some are lucky and don't get hammered for many months. It's all risk/reward. If you're willing to risk your time and account for whatever reward you get (and that may just be overcoming boredom in the game), bot on! Don't risk anything you don't want to lose.

blizzard might have stopped banning for a few days, previously they were banning every 6 months. could be the guy who was doing it went on holiday for a week, could be they are purposely letting you feel safe while watching your every move, its very very naive to think that changing something basic like you mac address you have fooled them

if they know so many identifying things about your machine, like your OS version, the date it was installed, the make of your motherboard, your bios type and serial number, the IPs you typically log in from, the ISP that hosts your IP, your payment information, what type of video card you have, the specific combination of version numbers of your drivers for each component of your computer, any unique user bnet usernumber/reference thats been written to your system by the bnet client...

take all that information and only change 1 or 2 parts and statistically they can still say with a very high degree of accuracy 'yeah thats still blackjice, the idiot just changed his mac address and thought it would shake us off his tail'

The fact that the bans have paused briefly means nothing if they hit HB with a banwave and catch 90% of the users, if they wait a few days or a week, they might only catch 1/10th of that number and then if they do it a 3rd time a week later, only 1/10th of that 1/10th. it doesnt help blizzard to play their hand too quickly, each time they might give away a detection method that bossland can then fix, if blizzard have more tricks up their sleeve its better for them to wait now, let people get complacent and think its safe so they can make sure the next ban wave has a bit more shock and awe.

That's taking things to far changing your MAC address. You should have a read into networking more before putting out posts like this^

Yes a network card could have same MAC address(look it up) - A company would not want to ban people on the off chance a legit player would get banned! - Low chances but a chance.

Botting since 2009. Had my personal botfarm running, getting decent cash. One day i used a very stupid exploit, and ALL of my 18 bots were banned for "extreme exploiting" (lol). Also all of my guilds were deleted. For the next 4 months EVERY single toon logged on my PC was getting banhammered. I had to buy new hardware to start over without getting banned over and over.

If i was Blizzard, i would definitely do the same. If i had ANY kind of advantage (not anything illegal!) on somebody who's harming my business, i would definitely use it to strike back.

Agreed, except Blizz is probably making more money on bot's than they loose by players quit because of bot's
