What do the Bnet ninja patches actually do? Usually when an update is applied it requires HB to be updated but when the Bnet ninja patches are issued HB still functions like no changes were made. Also the ninja patches cause HB navigation to screw up until you close it out and update Bnet. I noticed this trend with the last 2 ban waves. Imo be prepared for another wave in the coming days. Especially if they drop multiple ninja patches.

Blizzard does a bunch of "ninja patches" every week: until the WoW version doesn't change, the latest HB is ok.
If WoW version doesn't change means that no executable files were touched.

That doesn't mean they can't implement NEW serverside detection patterns or scripts

It's not like they put notes after minor patches saying "hey honorbuddy users, we're not touching the game itself, just implementing source code to discover botters" :)

B.Net ninja patches are fine and dont really mean much, they arent the actual game so HB doesnt need changes as HB doesnt attach to the B.Net only the wow.exe. (they are seperate programs)

Updates can be little things like ive seen a few times just grammar and spelling alterations, adding new advertising general update of content or general processing and efficiency improvements as it does use alot of cpu for a desktop app. They constantly develop this app so im not surprised (ever looked at how long the list of possible error messages there are?)

All the B.net does is allow you to access all your games from one place its litrally just somthing that holds paths to the games executable and runs updates.
Think of it like 'google play store' u download games from it, you 'can' open them from it and you update from there somtimes, but the game and playstore are different programs. on a very loose connection B.net and the games are like that (just owned by the same company).

Steam is another example of this, you can install the game and run directly from its executable but steam offers you a handy place to run your games from and update easily. get where im going with the examples?

No need to worry about b.net updates

You can run wow from the 32bit straight up i never use the bnet anyway its just unnecessary to use every time, just use to update the game when needed.

      We'll see that.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another banwave in 2 to 4 weeks though.

Me neither, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see an increase in lights and decorations over the next 2 to 4 weeks. Whether B net patches cause that is a separate issue.

I understand where you are coming from. I also understand Bnet and WoW are different, but what confuses me is the navigation inside HB getting screwy after they patch it. HB will be humming along, working fine until the patches hit. I have to close out HB and WoW, run Bnet and let it do it's thing, then the bot will work again. This is even with Bnet closed from task manager prior to the launch of WoW. If I just close WoW and HB and reopen everything without the prior to patching the navigation is all red text and the bot won't move. Close everything and patch and it fixes. Seems like something is related there, but I'm not smart in code.

A little different this time than before, but an example. As i was typing the prior post I was switching bot from lvling in WOD to Legion. Bot went to the intro quests and NPCs are missing. The meal quest/etc. I closed out WoW and applied bnet/wow ninja patch NPCs are back and bot continues on. Only diff this time is there are no nav errors. Bot was just chilling where the NPC was supposed to be.

Also would like to note HB doesn't have to be updated. There arent any even available. I have the newest version when this happens.

id say a few of you are victims of the lag spikes happening this week. nav and npc malfunctions arise when there is no data flowing. among other things.

ive experienced this mostly in dal and my class hall. but yeah a few times 'waiting for quest npc to appear'. i just log out and right back in making a fresh internet connection and this resolves it. no updates necessary for ninja patches. patches come through the bnet launcher and if you run straight from the wow.exe like i do, you dont suffer surprises. and you dont come to the forums making wild assumptions. and most times you can bypass downtime for honorbuddy itself. only on forced content patches do i suffer botting downtime. do i get banned, sure just the same as everyone. but i dont pretend to know what is causing it, or why i got caught.

i do know i got caught with 120k other people on the same day, then with a ton of people a month before that, and before that, and before that. otherwise, in between these mass bans, i didnt suffer one lost account. and havent in 1.5 years.

am i safer than you? no, im just lucky. does this mean my methods are safe? no. im just lucky. does this mean if you follow my methods, you wont get banned? no you are not me. im lucky.

Would like to note another ninja patch since my last post a couple of hours ago. Bot is sitting in Dal waiting for NPC. Closing HB and reopening did nothing. Closing WoW and reopening and running HB did nothing. Opened bnet to update WoW. WoW updated. Launched WoW and HB. Works like a charm again.
