Since BGBuddy was made there has not been one update to its Bot Config. The logic is pretty bad. Having to make my own (which I am almost done with) or buying BGFarmer to replace a main project makes me sad.

      • Grabs a flag, but won't use movement spells.
      • Runs into Gates because it has no idea if they are down or not. EoTS | IoC prime example.
      • Same logic for all users so we have massive bot trains.
      • Can't jump off ledges to follow players you are attacking. Example: Temple of K
      • Blacklisting Players if they are too far away from starting point regardless of health.
      • No way to actually decide the pattern of attack in big maps like AV. Resulting in bot trains.
      • No use of Vehicles.
      • Getting stuck on Strand Boats for the whole game.
      • Stuck attacking vehicles on docks in strand.
      • No flag running in EoTS
      • Warsong Gulch always takes the same path from side to side same with Twin Peaks. Resulting in bot trains.
      • Never uses tunnel to leave the base in WSG. Resulting in bot trains.
      • AV always runs to Bal just to die over and over if there is an enemy player there.
      • Won't guard graveyards in AV.
      • Won't protect Flags in Battle of Gil if there is a "big fight" somewhere else. Thus leaving an easy cap for another team.
      • Targeting is just horrible. Please take the code from my Ultimate PVP and use the targeting in BGBuddy. Please just copy and paste.
      • No strafing at all.
      • No use of game object buffs like Berserker.
      • Wont run carts in Deepwind Gorge

There is more.. but I mean these are fairly glaring and need to be addressed. This botbase could aptly be named BanMeBuddy just due to the poor logic of the botbase. Find the biggest fight logic is terribad and should be eliminated, minus the fact it does not work and is currently broken creating stutter stepping. I posted a log and support ticket for this.

I asked this question about 2 or more years ago in some thread, ended up buying millz instead. Pretty sure we got a post saying they were looking at upadting it but it never happened. Everything to do with the bot seems old and outdated imo, basic updates and thats about it.

The community drive that this bot used to have is largely gone because of the Buddy Store. I liked it better when people could sell private versions of their software but were expected to maintain public version of their software for free. I understand that creating the Buddy Store is much more lucrative for the owners and for developers, but paying the money that they're asking for for many projects that are underdeveloped or have very short lifespans due to banning is just not a reasonable possibility for many users. It used to be community driven and now it's money driven, and it basically only hurts the casual user since people farming gold for profit aren't using World Quest profiles or BG Buddy, and they're the largest part of this bot's users.

Yea the store crippled this community driven creativity | generosity for the most part. This coming from a guy who used to write a ton of shit and sell off site. The 40% cut Bossland takes really hurt my want to do anything. The non necessity of keeping a free product makes me not even bother and just charge for new work. You get your trial, why do you need free stuff, pay me. The store really sucks for the casual user. They have to buy products to stay competitive or safe. The buddy products fall behind and lets face the facts that they are not worth using past the bare minimum this bot can do. Things like BGBuddy and Dungeonbuddy (which I consider the core things this bot has going for it) are both basically useless. Questing is rad but zero RAF support so again, missing functions to make it useful. All of these things will be in the store, thus costing the casual more money. You then have to worry about every expansion does the dev stop supporting their products as part of their agreement to sell. I did this with Legion. I stopped and let them all go into frozen mode. This makes your purchases only good for an expansion really.

I honestly would be for devs being forced to give a "lite" version again for free. This would help out the casuals a lot.

So the honorbuddy community is controlled by the thing the rest of the world is controlled by, money. Can't say that I'm shocked. Everything is about money these days, and it's like you said, hurting the casual botters.
I myself don't care about BGBuddy, but they might as well re-name the botbase from "BGBuddy" to "Ban me instantly due to reports because it's a terribly written system".

I've largely quit using HB except for leveling and farming herbs on farm accounts (for personal use). I used to use it for raiding, pet battle, farming old content, farming rep, mounts and loads of other things.

These days it just ain't worth it to buy routines or other profiles. They're generally very poorly developed or abandoned within a few months and ontop of being banned a lot it just ain't worth it for the casual botter anymore.

That is because Bossland was the only guy to stand up to Blizzard. He had the resources from HB, and decided to take on the fight. So we will see how that goes. If HB loses, it will be an interesting time since a bot has lost in the US and the EU, particulary Germany. The thing with losing in Germany is that they are fairly pro - competition, intellectual rights. So a loss there is a big loss everywhere really.
