Really? You should stop supporting this company.

With a days warning, they straight up disable keys purchased with an advertised promise of lifetime duration of said key.

This is incredible, i doubt it can even be legal, completely redacting access which you bought

to be fair guys I wouldn't mind paying 30 quid a year for a programme that is safe , but fact of matter is its not , I'm still waiting on yet another ban wave but do believe they are concentrating on firehack at the moment , only matter of time I guess

Well if this decision will make bot better, and also will deal with not legit keys, then i support this.

Itll help fuel their lawyers, so they can fight a lawsuit they will lose, wont make teh bot better its only gotten worse.

Not legit keys? Any purchased key is a legit key, money went to Bosslands pocket for it one way or the other.

Yes and no, for you paying for 1 session is ok, for someone that uses 50-60 or more it can't be. I have 2DB, 2HB but i am not botting anymore and they are unused but taking them away from me when they where bought under these conditions at the time is just ridiculous. What stops them from doing the same thing in 3 months with 1 year subscriptions? I only buy Exilebuddy since that is the only thing i bot/play so to me this change doesn't mater that much but still when someone takes away something u payed for , well it doesn't feel quite right. There should be some sort of coupon or something so that you can restock your licences for less money then full price sine your are basically paying twice for something...

I'm more concerned with the 1 days notice.
I understand that they're not making money off the old keys.
But if they came out a said 1 week from now your keys will expire, here's a discount for an upgrade to a yearly key, that would be a different story.
I'm on the fence whether I will continue to use their products atm.

My concern is that you are breaking an agreement through sale of the product: BosslandGmbH:About Buddy Products - The Buddy Wiki

This might make you liable for lawsuits if you try to do this. You clearly have it in writing that the lifetime purchase is indeed for a lifetime. By altering (see not honoring) your agreement, you could be opening yourself up to be sued by everyone who has a lifetime key. You may really want to talk to your lawyers about this before you do it. This could be very, very bad for you on the legal front.

Edit: I am not trying to cause you problems as I know legal fee's are not cheap. I am just trying to save you time and money from possible future lawsuits.

Edit #2: I am going to be buying a key to help keep the doors open. I suggest you all do the same. It sucks, I know, but if we want HB to continue, we all need to chip in.

This is correct. It's a 'Breach of Contract'.

1 day ahead of the shutdown... you are kinda azzraping all those who bought their keys back in 2014, supporting the early stages of demonbuddy... at least a few weeks would have been fine but what about those who do not read here often? you can imagine there will be thousands of ppl getting f*cked tomorrow?

1 day ahead notice sucks. i mean it is ok if you want to and have to make money and get money out of all the "old lifetimers". but just shutting it down with 1 day ahead? not to mention the legal issues where you just cut the crap of a product ppl have bought under different circumstances, like in phelons posting above...

      this really sucks guys.

honestly i think most of us understand the way you go, but with 1 day ahead? seriously?

      Thank you brother!

These jerks are really trying to shaft the community.. they know what's coming and trying to cash in.

Unreal.. I will definitely look into getting a piece of the pie if they breach my contract.

RIP thebuddyteam, why would you give your loyal customers a one day notice that their lifetime keys are about to expire...... expect to be sued and bankrupt before the end of the year

Who cares about the one day, the issue here is buying a lifetime product. and they turn around and now say nah you just bought a 2 year product lol ????? How is that even correct..

They have a law suite with blizzard am sure we can stack up consumer report against them as well. this is bullshit.

at least a few weeks warning before the shutdown would have been nice and a discount on the next year price... but 1 day ahead breaching a contract with all those lifetimers is just a no-go communitywise, legalwise, servicewise and just a punch in the face for all those who contribute here...

without the lifetimers in the first, there would have been no demonbuddy or any other buddy, nor this forum. now putting us up and sticking the dildo deep in the black is just sucking...

delay the shutdown and give the lifetimers a discount for the next year. fine with that. hell, even paying those 25€/year would not be that bad. but announcing the shutdown 1 day before it happens is just fucked up...
