I dont post alot but read the forums daily and its a bit dissapointing to see how many people are actually complaining about the key changes, i had always wondered why the Bots werent subscription based to begin with.

I have alot of keys so this is hugely affecting me too (ive used the bot since i joined the forum) but i'm not bothered by it.
Would you rather have no bot or pay 25 euro a year (2euro a month) to keep it?
Small price to pay imo and they have stated why/what the change is for and means.
They arent sky rocketing the price its staying the same its now just a yearly payment, how much a month do you pay for other things? phone, netflix etc and people will moan about 2euro for somthing you probably use everyday? come on guys.

Maybe the notification could have been a little earlier ill agree with that but there does have to be a cut off point for these things and people would complain whenever it was anyway.

I think a few of you need to realise how much development costs and how much business legal battles cost.
Blizzard sue's to bankrupt companies/people, they dont just sue for a little fee and a wrist slap. Legal costs are high as these dont just go to normal courts either business court is nothing like normal court, you watch too much Judge Judy if you think its like on tv.

This is not 'bad business practice' this is business remodelling to continue to provide a service for customers.

Would be nice to see some positivity on this forum for a change or dont say anything and if you dont like it then dont use the bot.
Try and think about why and what is actually going on, and maybe post some support for Bossland in this thread.

So thank you everyone at Bossland for providing a great service for so long and i hope this continues and goodluck with everything, there are quite a few of us who do appreciate what you guys actually do and understand your reasons.

I guess this hurts casual botters who use HB to level up/rotation bot a lot more than people like me who sell gold.

We backed this company back in 2010, without us he would not have made any profit at all. And this is what we get for it now?

Also you forget about one thing, we also bought products on the buddy store, where he also gets 20%? or more of each purchase.

So excuse me, I'm not able to see anything positive about fundamental breach of contract.

I agree, but at least they wouldn't have spat in our face. Business is business, and it's quite clear that having lifetime licenses is not a good long-term business model.

If they made it like 2e/month per 3 session key and 1e/1 session key it would be way better.
      - Lifetime users (long time members) gets discount compared to others so we can feel special
      - its a lot easier to pay 10-20e for bot each month than couple hundred euro right now with such a little notice
      - I am pretty sure bossland would make more money long term this way simply because pissing off less people and losing less subs
      - with subscription based business model there could be room for better product?

Sorry but I personally think this a bad move you sold us lifetime keys and that's what they should be, nice way to screw over the people who bought your products.

It's not about the money. It's about the way they announced it. "Pay or gtfo"

True but a casual botter could just sell 500k a year and the bots then paid for itself. some of us hold 100+ keys but selling gold you just account for this. A bot can make 25euro in a couple/few days by normal standards.

The buddy store was never for bossland to make big bank on it, it was a way to provide the community developers a way to earn somthing from their work which was a brilliant idea. 20% probably covers a few expenses which are tied to the buddy store im willing to bet.

Yeah as i said in my post 'business remodelling', it needs to be done somtimes. Even blizzard have done this.

I did agree with this and do agree with your point that there should have been a longer notification and expire date (more recent ones dont expire till june 1 2018), but people would still complain regardless. Backlash would have been less if they had allowed a couple of months.
They provided the buddy store as a way to help developers earn for their hard work as they realised the effort community developers put in, but this is not the main development. Main development is from the reverse engineering and main bot infrastructure, there is alot more under the hood and behind the scenes to the bots than people realise.

I did ask if we could keep it positive in here please. look on the bright side somtimes, we will still have the bot.

      Lol.

So, people having botfarms, 200+ bots. They need to invest into Honorbuddy, AGAIN, if though they bought LIFETIME keys.

Let's play with the idea that you're running 250 bots.

      250 x 25 = 6250

Sure, they make money from the bots, but that's not the point, at all.
      I were personally running 5 bots, meaning 5 lifetime keys. That's $125.

I got $1000 a month, total. ~$615 of that money goes straight towards bills. Do you expect me to afford $125 with 1 days notice to keep my gold-money incoming?
They fucked us over, clear and simple.

Excuse me? This is very bad business practice. You cannot 'legally' change the terms of said product that were previously sold. That is the pure definition of Breach of Contract, period, end of story. People purchase a automobile, mortgage, insurance (life, health, home, automobile, etc), etc... with a POLICY. You purchase software and hardware with a warranty and the companies terms. People just don't buy things... People make a purchase based on the POLICY and the TERMS of that policy. If a policy stated 'Lifetime' and the terms were written exactly like that... that's what you get... the 'Lifetime' of the vehicle, home, or health, however, there is no such policy for those things, BUT there are 'Lifetime' subscriptions for SOFTWARE applications of which I could name several dozen. Yet 'Lifetime' usually means the End of Life (EOL) of the product, which is completely understandable, and software and hardware companies understand that and most that stay in business honor it, it's very common. Those software companies most definitely do NOT breach contract as they know the repercussions for doing so, but companies do have the right to change the terms of future licenses being sold, but still have to honor those previous licenses sold as they were. It's called business and in common law a breach of contract is both unethical, a judgment of bad faith, and illegal. It's called PRINCIPLE and the Law stands by principle, at least in contract law.

I for one purchased a single "Lifetime' license to the End of Life (EOL) for the use of Honorbuddy and expected and expect to receive just that. It's clearly stated a 'Lifetime' key (License) End of Life (EOL) license within it's terms, that's exactly what I and many others purchased. It's not the customer's fault for purchasing the key (license) at such a great deal, but rather Bossland GmbH, we the customer are also not at fault for Blizzard going after Bossland GmbH, nor at fault for Bossland GmbH for continuing a legal dispute over copyright law with Blizzard Et Al.. Those fee's are the responsibility of Bossland GmbH, not it's customers, neither Glider (aka: WoWGlider or MMOGlider) or other automation developer's passed the fee's onto the customer, they knew the consequences and took it full on, but we the customer are not obligated at all to cover the legal fees. That again, demanding more money from previous sales and breaching contract is illegal practice.

Breach of Contract (Lifetime) members, analysis.

I don't see how people can make a living using honorbuddy, rely so heavily so it's constantly updated API, and still not see that it cost money to keep it running. If this was your income, that's on you man. Honorbuddy never said, "hey, go feed your family with this".
This should come as no suprise to anyone, they have been dropping bots and the associated lifetime keys left and right. And consistently have been looking for more money. The warning signs were everywhere.

The person in your example, made a mistake putting complete trust in a supplier to honor an arrangement that doesn't make sense for them financially. If your living is seriously farming gold in video games, you need to be ready for anything, including changes in your supplier.

The person in your example, made a terrible business decision. That's all that post proves.

Of course buddystore was a way for Bossland to cash in, he takes 30+% of each sale, the way they behaved toward the community devs probably resulted in several quitting, suddenly theres less on buddystore and suddenly they cash in less. The average HB user probably spent more then his key over the time that he botted.

Buddystore is a perfect supliment to a subscription system, if only they didnt fail to push third party developers and make it more attractive, so now its all about taking the piss on customers

The buddy store takes a 40% cut from devs. It used to be 30%, but Bossland decided to void all our contracts one day and bump it up to 40%; surprise surprise. That's when a few said f it.

If bossland would look for a solution TOGETHER with lifetime users, im pretty sure there wouldnt be any shitstorm. By saying goodbye to your lifetime session, it will expire in a few days you HAVE to pay for a new session its just a punch in the face. I completly agree that Bossland can mostly only survive if they wipe out the licenses but there are far more customer friendly ways to do this.

eg: give us 6-12 month and offer us then a discounted key etc. etc.

Im only having 6 licences because I had a session of 200 on another Provider when I heavily botted 2 years ago but there are People who invested a lot of money to be able to mass bot even though they're not using all of them. What makes me angry is just the fact with the short period of time. This is just harassing customers who have a right on a working license, I asked 2 german (civil) law professors and their oppinion was very straight and clear about Bossland's acting. Im not going into detail because its just about german sale of goods contract law.

What makes me so annoying about buying 6 more licences now:

      1. You only have a few days to act
      2. the *****ed versions of HB doesnt work anymore

I know a lot of illegal users who had sth like 10+ bots running when the illegal HB version was working and you can expect that a lot of those guys eventually bought sessions. So there should have been a not underestimated income which bossland should have got. And my conclusion is that even with this cash injection bossland still struggles to survive. What happens with the next injection? is it only for 6 months and then bossland becomes insolvent? What happens if many people stop botting right now because mostly gold sellers would be willing to invest in more than 1! session?

Sure Bossland should be available to track down how many lifetime licenses are still running in average.

But the whole communication PLUS the fact that they are infringing on their contractual obligation to provide a working license makes me wonder if its worth to invest into a service which might be offline in a few months with this hostile acting on customers.

It's like buying a car completely in 2010 and then 6 years later having the dealer go shit we need more money and giving a notice to you in 24hrs saying that they will take the car back if you don't pay us yearly.
Anyone seen gold prices a average gold seller has many bots going to make some type of profit. Where i'm at i can't make a profit with 10 bots haha and when i was about to sell bans were raining from above because the god forsaken tripwire wasn't working and got my accounts erased and GB erased also.

i talked to a couple rape victims. they all agreed they would rather pay 25usd a year rather than be raped again. they said it was nothing like being raped. ofc i dont know, ive never been raped. but they were pretty adamant that having to pay 25usd was preferable.

It is not a problem about changing from lifetime to 1 year. The the biggest problem is to give more time for that change.

I don't want more time to realize the change
      I don't want a compromise
      I don't want analogies
I don't really care to hear all the sally suck-ups try and tell me its not that bad

I paid for LIFETIME working keys.. That's the product I purchased
I expect to then have LIFETIME working keys.

Anything less is pure bullshit, bad customer service, and outright go f&*k yourself greed. At least I now know what kind of people I'm dealing with
At the end of the day there is nothing anyone can do except QQ on the forums.. welcome to my QQ
