Seems new wow token is killing gold farmers and resellers pretty hard, more on usa side then eu.Wonder how low can it go.Selling gold is only worth it on patch days
They can't really kill gold farming unless they remove gold as a currency. They'll make the prices even lower for sure, but it wont kill gold farming. You can still earn too much in a short period of time if you suicide herbing for example.
Blizzard-Activision is a share-holder company. Their main intent is to make money. The gametime wow-token has proofed to be a success (as they earn ~ 70% more from it as from selling gametime via subscription/game time cards) It was a "natural" progession to extend its usability. Remember : someone has to pay 20€ for it... but the token-buyer "only" gets 15€ battle.net balance. In addition to this margin the number of pets/mounts sold has increased -> more money -- marrvin
Yes, and part of that intent was to put a big dent in the gold farming market, not just profit. Blizzard isn't stupid. It's akin to the legalization of marijuana. It puts a big dent in the black market. People were already buying gold. Now that they can buy gold without consequences they can do it more freely. And as a bonus, if you're already good at making gold, you can exchange it for game time. It's a brilliant system.
I can tell you for a fact that I make a lot less money but that's not stopping me from making ends meet.
Hahaha good one. Look at mats in the ah. Prices on my server (EU high pop) right now are lower than before the last ban wave. Because it's flooded with mats. Which in my book is a clear indication that there are quite a few botters.
Mate, you seems to live in different dimension prolly. Blizzard invented the token to battle.net balance in US last week and doubled the token value in gold for just one night! Plus they cleared unknown amount of gold off the servers around the 1st of feb banwave. Quite a few chinese gold resellers reported that most of their guild banks with millions of gold were simply deleted, while no legit guilds reported that their full guild banks were touched. So blizzard obviously were clearing the house before the token->balance. Tell me now, when majority of the gold, ready for selling is just vanished, will the gold price increase or not?
Where have you seen that? Gold cost on my server went from $17 per 100k to now ~$6 per 100k. That's an over 50% decrease since the token came out. Gold sellers HAVE to cut prices to compete with Blizz. If they don't offer gold for pennies compared to Blizz, then buyers will just buy safe, guaranteed gold with a token. Good news is you can basically get a new $60 blizz game or lvl 100 character boost for ~$20-$25
That is how gold selling works! China resellers buy cheap and sell expensive, no surprise here Meanwhile on EU the "official" price is $0.075
Gold prices aren't great. I've been making an extra 200 or so bucks a week botting Elysium (vanilla server) since it launched. No risk of a ban because the GMs are idiots.
Could somebody point me to where I can buy gold at good prices pls And would blizzard find out that someone gave me like 500k ty
