I have not botted since before they first big legion banwave. I constantly see people getting banned. Are people overstaying their welcome or is it really that unsafe right now?

While botting in general is unsafe the bot right now is REALLY unsafe.

There is a high possibility of another ban wave within the coming days or weeks as Blizzard applies it's full and complete attention towards HB survival.

Since the first ban wave in WOD it's been incredibly unsafe to bot. I wouldn't do it on an account that you care about. If you bot expect to get banned in a few months

Can you accept my bet then, please? If for some reason someone not get banned then what?

Oh wait, you are 100% confident, just because you are 1 day old on this board, and your past experience of one-day botting proved it :D

Of course botting is hazard nowadays, especially with the double-November and the February banwaves, but guaranteeing a ban within any period is kiddish!

What if Blizz are able to detect us again in may, or next week, or next November?

We will never know when and its highly likely to happen, but with each day passing since 1st of February, the chances for banwave are decreased statistically!

Or each day that goes by, could be one day closer to a banwave.
Most of what is said about bans, is speculation, we all don't work at blizz and will never know 100%.

The only thing I know which cannot be ignored, is the cold hard facts: 3 Banwaves in 3 Months.
That shit sure don't seem safe to me :D

Just stop yourself Aion, I'll make a bet with you, play 4 hours each day and within 12 months its a 100% guaranteed ban!

There was a time I would call this bot 100% safe, now is not that time.

      Not really.
For all we know, Blizz is flagging everyone running Honorbuddy right now, and will keep doing so until x/x-2017, to kill Bossland once and for all.
There will be a banwave. There's no chance for HB to decrease the detections. Especially since Blizz knows the financial situation over at Bossland camp, and that most of their customers (I assume) are long gong.

A clean cut, and Honorbuddy will be a thing of the past, just as Glider.

I remember the last time i used HB merely using a rotation only. Was banned in less than 12 hours LOL. HB is easily the most advanced WoW bot on the market, but its just not worth it with how easy it is to get banned.

Next unban is may, so going off previous bans there will be a banwave before then at least.

If you plan to try regular character progression & raiding, botting that is a thing of the past to be quite honest... I'd think you would be lucky to last 3 months before you got banned and had to start over, which was bad in the past but now it's pretty much fucked in legion due to the AP/leggo system in place.

People got too comfy in cata/mop where some lasted the whole xpac without a peep from blizzard, this is when 80% of battlegrounds was full of bots... everyone in the botting community wants to see that return but it's just not going to happen.

HB should now be viewed as strictly a gold farming tool (or something for extremely casual player so they can do dungeons every now and then), because you can't do anything too deep in progression with it anymore, it's pointless and a waste of your time.

tho I've always used HB in this fashion, even when it wasn't getting hit every 2-3 months... I use 1-2 accs to farm gold and feed it to my main for goodies and light profit, or to even setup alts and xfer them over to my main bnet acc.

We can only assume this, but will never be confident for Blizzard's power and intentions. Because the past facts are bit odd:

First we have seen steady banwaves each 6-8 months: May'15, Dec'15, May'16, Nov 16 ... its pattern!
      - The obvious conclusion is: Blizzard can detect HB anytime and we gets banwaves twice a year by their mercy .... correct?

But them bam & bam! Second banwave Nov'16, just 10 days after the first one, then another one, ~2.5 months after the last one!
      - The first conclusion looks hardly failed - There is two major variants: Either Blizzard change their plans and do frequent banwaves now ... or they never had such "merciful" plans but instead banwave us soon after detecting HB, anytime!

Which of both variants are correct - the reality is: we will never know, unless Blizzard make official statement for this, which they will never do!

But maybe the small details between the banwaves could make us assume the correct variant?

Between the HB banwaves, we have seen several quite hard hits on the most of the other 3rd party tools for WoW. For example, SBR and partially FH were quite painfully 64bit-targeting hit in the 7.0 prepatch - just few weeks before the Legion launch!

While they are just combat rotations tools, some would say - its not big deal, but actually its big deal - quite a few hardcore raiders use some kind of rotation, and targeting rotation only tools just before the Legion expansion is just a Blizzard style douche move.

Meanwhile, HB had several almost-regular detection attempts by Blizzard in 2016, when the Tripwire fired the alarm and killed all the HB sessions.
In some of them, other 3rd party tools with weaker realtime protection got banwaved as side-fire from the HB detection attempts.

-In my eyes, this means one thing - second variant is most likely real! Blizzard was never "merciful", but they banwave us as soon as they could afford it, with detections or not!

The last batch of bans on 4th of February proved it - quite a few people reported as being banned - some of them had fresh accounts, running for 2 days from the recent 1st of Feb banwave, others had not botted for weeks, or half an year, or have never botted on those accounts, but have just ran this or other botting software on the same computer in the past year or two.
There was people, which reported getting banned on accounts, which never botted, running from computers with never installed bot on them ... this is odd, this is sad!

But this proves that Blizzard not always detect the botting software, sometimes they turn the "reckless button" on and just ban some poorly accused-for-botting accounts, to be able to loudly admire themselves on the forum and social networks, how good are they with fighting the botters.

You know they banned accounts that had not been botted on nor played since desember, one of my accounts had not been online for 37 days and was still banned. So Febuary banwave is false. They where just gathering over months to eliminate as many as they could.

And the bansection proves the guys point. People are getting banned. some people get days and some people get minutes. Me i even got a clean account banned. Made a new email to Blizzard for a reason behind banning a clean account and it looks like i sendt an ingame mail with a rare item from my clean account, to my botted accounts even though it was a clean character on the botted account. Messy i know.

Statistics mean nothing. Who cares if banwaves happened on some kind of pattern? There is only one relevant thing left: Tripwire doesn't protect you. Bot with HB and at some point you'll get caught. Whenever it happens. You're still botting with BanwaveBuddy (aka HB)? Good luck!

I think the only weakness with Zodder's statement is when he gave it a definite time line ..1 month .

The reality is that after being involved with all of the past "Waves" I have a confidence that HB is now currently detectable, and that it is an orchestrated dance that Blizzard plays to squeeze as much from what they see as an annoying mosquito in their game. They don't and never have wanted to completely get rid of us all together, as botter's we played an integral role in the success of their game in many ways.
we also made the game unbearable for others in a few ways as well. Pressure from that side drove the revolution to point towards us and made this an issue for Blizzard. They had to act.

Don't kid yourself, they have invested real cash to kill us, Lawyer's are the obvious, the other obvious to me would be detection. I am no expert on that but they have the cash to out do us at any moment now that they have an intent and a desire to do that.

TL;DR Its Detected attach knowing the account is done for, perhaps a month or even a year ..NO botting software will save you.

At least the WoW part of it is free, since it's so easy to chargeback or do a paypal dispute, that I've never seen contested.

But yes they seem less tolerant of botting than they used to be...

      Great details Aion :)
