This is a good question. After 8 months no one has an answer?

I feel that the fact that blizzard is now scanning your computers RAM for bots running is now in effect and no matter the preventative measures you use, it is only a matter of time before the banhammer hits. Seriously guys, don't be a statistic. Stop botting until the devs are able to figure out a way around this. It is only a matter of time before it happens.

the "warning" does only refer to your account never to your characters

"When you get suspended for 72 hours, personally I wouldn?t recommend emailed AA to contest the suspension unless you are using a legit account and not doing anything prohibited by the ToS or EULA."

I have to say i always appeal these. A legit player would be pissed if he got a 72hr suspension for nothing so i always appeal. Had some overturned and others not. In my eyes if you don't appeal a 72hr it means you know you deserve it for something. But that's just me :)

Be careful while appealing 72h bans, you may get a GM that looks into your account and sees some suspicious activity. 72h bans are usually from player reports and appealing can make it worse...

Hey I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if it's ok to bot on ~10 wow accounts per Battle.net.
      ty in advance

Bot 24/7, no reports = no bans.

I have learned that there are a few other things too look out for.

The first is other Botters. There where many times that I would log on, decide to go to Uldam for some herbs and ore. Before I start a botting rotation, I check to see how many players are in the zone. I would usualy see 30+ toons in the zone, a but a few where over the zone's designated level. After a couple of minutes monitoring my bot, I would run across several other botters using the exact same profile. Huge flag to me, And I would leave to zone and go somewhere else. If the area is overcrowded with other botters (You know that we all can spot other botters) using the same profile, LEAVE the zone. I see more players get reported because of overcrowding than any other reason.
If you want to be even "Safer", take the 30min, and lean to make your own routes. this is extremely effective on preventing over crowding of a zone.

There are so many other things that you can to. The more human your bot looks, the better chance you have to remain undetected. For me, this means always contesting a suspension or ban. I've been banned for 4 hours before for spamming, i contested it, and didn't win, but most human players would be pissed as hell if they are put into "timeout". I wasn't even a botter then, and I was pissed as hell, even though I had apparently broken the ToS.
And to the EULA spot about the spy software, that is a crock of bull honkey, Blizz has already been sued for that before, they wouldn't risk it again, especially since they lost the frist time, and there is now a precedence set forth by Blizz for over-stepping the Privacy Laws.

I think this is bullshit man! If so why do you repeat unsubstantiated perspectives?
If Blizz are spying on who & what uses & is on my computer I will sue them

Seriously, I laughed so hard when reading this. So epic!

Even though I bot 24/7 because I don't give a shit about this video game, am enjoying it however.. (I just don't care if I lose my account, w/e).

      Thanks for the laughs! :)

Yeah, I would chill for a bit. Ease back into botting, and monitor it like a GM (Cause that's what they will be doing). Once your account has been flagged for botting, It's not a death sentence, but if you continue to bot a ton, it may be terminal for the account.

      I. Was silly enough to leave my bot questing and went out, he gt stuck on looting a mob which held that quest up for a few people I read back over the log and few people saying bot where's the gm ur reported, I never bot more then 5 hour at a time, I suppose I'm asking what does the gm do about this ? I log out ASAP and haven't gone back on, should I be concern ?

Well, I am always weary of AFK questing, especially in certain zones, EX: Outland, Vot4W, TLS, because tons of people quest now, and most areas, (At least on my server) are now CRZ, so the chances of the bot fucking up and being spotted are even higher. As stated in the beginning post, you don't have to answer anyone, for any reason. But i would chill on afk botting for a couple of days at least. GM's will look over your account, and determine if there is enough evidence for action to be taken such as tons of gold made, or history of selling mats off the AH, that kind of thing. If not, they will monitor your account for a while, and not do anything. Blizz also has to take into consideration, while they are a pain in the ass, you could have been nothing more than a griefer. While those types are a serious pain in the ass, as long as your not "harassing" players, your well within your right to lock up a quest forever if you so choose too.

Thanks for the post icecream, I quested today and did a bit of grinding cause I was 4 bars off 90, and just wanted to get there, ill lay low of a couple days, I've not sold a great deal I don't believe, :) this is my first real botting account and would hate to already be on the watch list especially after I have taken it easy since day 1 and follow post like this carefully.

Is blizzard privy to private whispers? Ive been occasionally putting things in /1 to make it look natural. What are the odds of getting banned for botting with questing compared to farming? Cant see too many people reporting me considering questing looks pretty normal, and im not mining or anything. Its just the number of hours that get me worried. Is there a magic number that gets flagged when you been playing for a certain amount of time?

Yep, very nicely done, I did all the above also...Was cautious, only Botted for a little bit at a time. Also have a DnD placed while I botted, I even manually collectes noded to break the boringness of collecting said ore. I also watch my bot to make sure that it does not mess up, granted not 24/7. But then again I only use profiles that I have tested thouroughly. Still got caught by blizz and still they claim to have detected the bot with an anti bot program.

Has anyone been online watching their account at the time of the ban? Just wondering how it happens, does someone (gm) /w you or are you flying along one minute and dc'd the next?

This is what used to happen back in Vanilla.
      http://warcraftban.ytmnd.com/

Now, I hear that you just get DC'd, try to log back in and you get the "Account Closed" message, then a few hours later your ban email shows up.

I've never been banned/suspended so I have no clue.
