Once Honorbuddy is up and running again, are players immediately going to start botting again or going to wait for a week to a month maybe more to see if those users are are under the radar?

Essentially how many guinea pigs are there going to be to test the new updated Honorbuddy once it launches. (I trust the HB team and i know they offer quality software and support, but I'm curious as to how zealous the dev team at blizzard are working trying to stop bots).

Personally I'll probably wait a month and monitor ban reports to see what is going on before I want to risk another account.

If you are one of those Guinea pigs and do get caught please post info on forums.

(I don't know where I should post this thread)

a Banwave will not stop botters.

when casual botters are botting on 10yo accounts, then something is wrong with the game.

HC botters didnt miss a lick, didnt slow down, and dont plan on slowing down.

if blizzard wants to fix the game and keep subs, they need to fix the gameplay. stop already with the apexis crystals. stop with the garrisionville. give long term players a reason to not want to put their accounts in danger.

the state of wow is what created casual botters. at one time a player wouldnt risk their accounts because they felt like they had something worthwhile. with wow's decline, there is little to look forward to and nothing of value to protect.

HC botters on the other hand are a whole different animal.

      Spot on!

The split-second HB is back up, I'm up again as well .. until then, it's macro-clicks galore.
      It's that simple.

difficult to think otherwise. but its been brought to my attention, any news is good news, and any press is good press and still gets our name out there in the ears of potential customers.

while some feel your questions are intrusive and a little bit late to actually be legit, some people claim i was overly mean to you and others who joined after the banwave.

so i figured id just go with the flow and see where it takes me.

      Nails it.

After thinking about it the last few days, I decided to start botting again right away. I will probably change a few things about my account management, bot behavior etc., but yes, I will probably be one of those guinea pigs. And I will definitely post my experience. The reason why I decided to give it one more try is because I realized I don't really care about the game anymore. I don't care anymore if I get banned. I'm probably just in the process of finding something to replace WoW (it doesn't necessarily have to be a game). Once I have something else to waste my time with while working or being bored at home, I'll most likely close my accounts and never turn back anyway.

this is me. i think i just bot now because im bored and i like giving my ingame bros nice things.

how does a botter appreciate 125k when thats a weeks afk income. click a button twice a day.
now give that same 125k to a poor player, and they think they've been given the moon.

It depends on what account I am on, if I am on my main, I care, hence I'm probably not going to bot, I don't care about suspensions, I just don't want to lose a 10 y.o account in general, even if the game falls to bits, just for sentimental value. In end I could just not play that account ever. and bot on separate accounts. This probably sounds weird but eh...

My idea was to bot on an account until I get my first warning then stop and make a new one :).

I like to uses combat routines. Its amazing watching them execute their abilities extremely well.

-frosticus, what is your personal opinion on combat routines whether it be for pvp or pve?

I am currently a 2700 rated player without any scripts/bots (I use scripts sometimes when I am lazy, or when I want to learn a new class). There are rated battleground teams that openly prefer players who use combat routines to people with high pvp experience, and this makes botting another in a way 'requirement' for wow.

I wonder how many of these we will see in the future.

i feel there is a difference in cheating blizz vs cheating a human player.

Grats! ive never been above 1750 and that was in wrath. i feel there is no place for what we do here in arenas. two men beating each other with sticks is fair. you give one a gun and its just not interesting anymore.

staff forbids any posts mentioning raiding or pvp guilds, or skype channels, or meeting up for anything ingame. you just cant trust anyone trying to lure you in with candy and the promise of a better day.

with any luck, none. i dont believe automation has any place in pvp. staff has mentioned many times that HB in pvp just brings unwanted attention to our community.

if you dont believe me, go to the blizz forums and check any thread mentioning bots. you only see honorbuddy mentioned. its because one guy tells 2 guys and those guys tell 3 other guys. and next thing you know, someone who has never seen a bot, knows all about them and they all use honorbuddy. cause thats what they heard on the forums.

While accurate - you know that'll never happen. Most of their playerbase are children which don't understand the genre and view it just like any other game which has led to blizzard molding it around said desires.

I would "expect" dramatic changes for the next xpac, howevee at the same time I wouldn't be even a little surprised if we got more of the same.

Everyone is thirsty for content, the current players demand shorter cycles between the content patches and expansions, indeed.

I may sound totally stupid but. Once HB is up again, how big is the chance that my account will be banned again?

I'd expect more frequent ban waves from now on if there isn't I would be very surprised but what ever the case I will continue to bot, until I find a game I actually enjoy.

Yes i will bot again 100%, I mean it took them many years to ban me. I did make a very stupid mistake of using my 10 year account for CR raiding only, and i do regret that. The only thing different i will do is not bot on my main account i mean i can bot on any account i want to now with wow token. I am still currently playing the game with 3 accounts and already raiding, it's just the small stuff thats annoying :p

But yes 100% will bot again

Its been "more of the same" since Wrath. Every expansion is simply a regurgitation of established, albeit rearranged, mechanics, itemization treadmills, and other garbage. I wouldn't even touch the game if many of my friends didn't play.
