This is probably part of it. They want to keep token to gold ratio high so its more enticing for people to spend the $20.00 as they make so much more money that way.
What made you reach that conclusion? I can't follow that logic, would you please elaborate on why do you think that could happen? On a first uneducated impression about this change, 20$ (token price) for 15$ on the store just does not sound like a good trade for me. I would rather spend my 20$ in getting gold enough to get 1 token and a half. What am I missing? Without Gold farming sponsoring this bot and all others with their money, you couldn't be using it for pretending to be good at pve (routines) or pvp (arenas). It would be long gone. Stop with the blaming, its ridiculous and sad.
arena is what i feel brought the most bad attention to bots from regular players. People were making big issues with blizzard because they could not compete against bots in arena as its a total unfair playing field. Remember for a while arenas were blocked on honorbuddy.
My thinking is this, you can legitimately sell your gold to Blizzard or you can risk getting banned and dodgy buyer by doing it through a 3rd party. For big difference in dollar value, maybe you'll go to 3rd party but do you want to risk it for a small amount of difference? This method also provides avenue for players have heard about selling gold to 3rd party but only been thinking about it - Blizz is being proactive here. Blizzard point of view, they make $5 for every token someone sell/buy and the money stays in the company as it can only be converted as battle net balance (store credit). When you think about it - pretty smart move, to compete with gold farmer by providing a legitimate way to cash your WoW gold and make money as well in the process. EDIT : I just discovered that you can gift the purchase you made using battle net balance
That and battleground bots. When you have youtube videos with hundreds of thousands of views, videos of a player in a bg with nothing but bots running back and forth, you know Blizz starts getting heat to ***** down.
This is what happens when you have the same bot for Gold Farming, PVE, PVP etc. No matter how many tears you shed and how rekt your anus is m8, nothings gonna change. PVPer's bought just as much attention to the bot (arenas, bgs) than gold farmers, If anything they brought even more notriety due to their visiblity/occurance. Pure gold farming bots usually chain instances/raids non-stop and are rarely seen by the public. Gatherbuddy bots (Legion herbs) are way more common currently. Please educate yourself before you post, just embarrasing.
