      New to Honorbuddy?
Honorbuddy does not run in a vacuum—it depends on certain infrastructure components to be available on your system. If you installed Honorbuddy using the 'installer' .exe file, the components should be acquired and installed for you, if they are missing. If you installed Honorbuddy using the .zip file, there is a chance some of the necessary components may be missing on your system. If you used the .zip file and experience problems, you should go back and use the installer, instead. The 'installer' is available from the same place as the .zip file:

To quickly set up Honorbuddy, this article should provide all the necessary info:

Honorbuddy documentation is available from the Bossland Customer Service portal:

In the Guides forum you will find many fine guides to the various aspects of Honorbuddy:
      • Installing Honorbuddy
      • Using Honorbuddy
      • Writing Profiles
      • Programming Plugins
      • Programming CustomClasses

      Is botting safe?
Buddy bots possess technology to defend against most 'client-side' detection attack vectors. You can read more about that here:

But, despite the technology being very very good, Tripwire is not infallable. Also, there are many more ways to be detected than 'client-side' detection vectors. For instance, simple player reports, or 'server-side' behavior analysis provide additional detection vectors.

So, in the absolute sense, "no, it is never safe to bot". If you bot, you will eventually get caught. This happens through various means, and we've dedicated an article to making certain you are fully informed about the situation, and how to educate yourself so this happens as infrequently as possible:

The Botter's "Rules of Thumb" for account management are:
      • Never bot on an account you are afraid to lose.
      • Never allow a non-botted account to benefit in any way from a botted account.
      • Buy new backup copies of the game when it goes on sale 'just in case'.
      • Plan on having account bans once or twice a year. If it doesn't happen, that's an "I win".

Need to learn how to setup an account and access the Buddy Store?
The Buddy Store can extend your Buddy bot beyond its initial and robust set of capabilities. The store offers products—some free, and some paid—to tailor the Buddy bot to your liking.

These articles guide you through the process of gaining access to, and using the Buddy Store:

If you have problems getting Honorbuddy to function...
If you have a problem, the Honorbuddy Helpdesk should be your first stop:

If the HelpDesk is unable to help you resolve your problem...
please make a new thread in the Support forum. Support threads are dedicated to you and your problem—users other than you and the Bossland GmbH staff will be unable to post in your Support thread. The Support team will work with you in this thread to resolve your problem. The BosslandGmbH Support staff monitors the Support forum several times a day—other parts of the BosslandGmbH forums are examined much less frequently.

Most people don't report bugs frequently. As such, they don't know what to say, or what kind of information is needed by the Support staff. This article should get the necessary information to the Support staff to address the problem as quickly as possible:

Anytime you ask for help anywhere in the forum, be certain to attach the full unedited log that demonstrates the problem.

      Updating Honorbuddy...
Honorbuddy has a built-in updater, and it will provide you with an option to upgrade any time a new version is available. Much of the time, updating is optional, but it is always a wise choice. Updates make certain your bot has the latest bug fixes, and your WoWaccount is maximally protected. Occasionally, updating is required when the WoWclient has made significant changes to the extent that the existing Buddy bot version will no longer work.

You can always find the latest versions of the Buddy bots here:
