      1. Typing /DND and then going AFK while botting will attract GM's and Reports
      2. Botting 24/7 (Powerlevelers use a max of 16 hours per day)
      3. Grinding mobs only 24/7, this only affects US Servers not so much EU
      4. Getting Deserter AFK Buffs multiple times (3 hour ban -> 24 hour ban -> 72 hour ban -> Perm ban)
      5. Wordlist for reply's (AIML), a no reply greatly increases a player report which leads to flagged account
      6. Using multiple accounts across multiple computer on 1 IP Address flags all accounts as ban reports show that accounts that never botted got banned, especially to combat gold sellers as blizzard now combats the use of using a vanilla account which is intended to be sacrificed when selling gold on a level 1 face to face... blizzard will ban the other account instead or would ban both.
      7. Selling gold via In-Game Mail
      8. Trading over 100,000 gold face to face is instant suspension because of anti-gold selling script
      9. Over 300 items everyday on the AH may raise flags about exploitation of the economy.
      10. An IP is flagged for checking if the user has over 10-20 accounts banned for botting/selling gold etc.
      11. Zone scans may exist in the US, as I've seen reports of people being banned in one area although this may be due to bot hunters just reporting all possible botters in the area in one go (another reason to use a Zone Switch profile, usually bot hunters will come back after 6-12 hours and check to see again who is still online)

My experience with these claims. Not saying they're wrong, I might just be a lucky guy. Also, I play EU if that makes any difference. Always wondered if there is any difference between EU and US when it comes to bot bans and how they enforce the rules.

We have no problem with threads like this, just make it very, very, obvious, that these are theories and can't be proved in any way. (We're not Blizzard, and neither are you. We can't be sure of anything they do for detection server-side. We don't need to cause a user-riot!)
