so wifey was looking for patrannache today, and i decided to see if i could help her using rarekiller...

i wont bore you with all the details, but it wasnt easy to find the object ids for the footprints here.

what this does:
1. Finds a footprint from a trackable hunter pet, and zooms to it.
2. nothing.

what this does NOT do:
1. follow the path of footprints.
2. flare for the pet to become visible.
3. cast tame pet.

how to use:
1. copy the code below into your RarekillerRaptorNest.cs file, which can be found in ...Honorbuddy\Plugins\Rarekiller2\MyClasses
folder.
OR
2. copy the
RarekillerRaptorNest.cs file i have provided, which also looks for other stuff all over pandaria.
if you use this method, remember to remove (trackable pets) from the filename, or it will not work!
3. once you tame a certain mob, you may want to remove or comment out (by putting // in front of the ||) the reference to it, so you arent constantly barraged with rarekiller notifications for pets you already have. i have taken the liberty of commenting each footprint with its mob's name.
4. you must be on your hunter for this to work, as non-hunters cannot see the footprints
, and even if they could, it would be a pretty douchebag thing to do to try to kill these guys.
5. once it finds a footprint, you should probably shut off honorbuddy, and follow the footprints manually, since it tries to keep going back to the one it found first. then flare and tame yourself as well.

any bot, any profile. it works with the rarekiller plugin, so if any of the tracks are around, no matter what else the bot is doing, it will fly down to them. at that point, you will want to shut off hb and follow the tracks manually, and flare/tame manually as well...

nice job getting rarekiller to work with this. BUT

the radar plugin will show you the tracks. You just put in the name of the track you want and fly over the pathing zone. It will even show you the phased areas. For example, you can't see glimmers tracks for 85% of the area.

Just want to say nice work on this as I've tamed, Savage, Portent, Bloodtooth, and Hexapos within the hour after using this plugin. Savage took the longest as I was trying to figure out the tracks and casting flare that you believe the direction it's traveling. Once you see the target, use Serpent Sting to put dot on them so they don't disappear on you. After that, just tame them and they're all yours. Suggest to use Glyph of Taming for the 4 seconds reduction as it's huge difference especially if there are mobs around.

what profiles are you guys running that have helped you tame these pets? or are you just manually flying around with a blank profile and rarekiller active?

I googled patrannaches route and flew around it with a blank profile, guess it could be easier by making a profile for it...(rarekiller active OFC)

This seems to be something I should implement in my Rarekiller, auto follow Footprints and Tame...

Hmmm after looking some Videos I see it is really complicated to follow this footprints and put the Flare on the Right place.
Simply cast the Flare at the Place where the Footprints are will not work, as I see, I had to complicated calculate the right Place ...

But before this, I will quickly develop a Version which simply will alert if the Bot founds a Footprint.
I will take a look, what I'm able to implement ;).

Heyho
I implemented the Footprints in my Rarekiller3.
NOTE: He will only search the Footprint and then alert till the Footprint despawns.
This is only the first step of my implementation and not usable AFK at the moment. I'm working on a routine to auto tame these Mobs, too. But it is complicated to follow the Footsteps automatically and then place the Flare correct. But till this is ready, you can use the Alert

Thanks Wabu for the IDs

OH, now I see.
This thread is outdated. You can use Rarekiller3 to search for Footprints as it is. Without copy something somewhere.
Simply install Rarekiller3, activate in the Settings Window of Rarekiller the Point "Footprints",
choose a Profile f?r Mists of Pandaria and let him fly around. Maybe a good Profile is this one:
http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...-glorious-achievement-all-pandaria-rares.html
It flys over whole Pandaria.

But note: this is not AFK able at the Moment, because he will only stop and alert if he found a Footprint. You had to tame the Beast by hand.

PS: sorry for the Late answer, I was not at home over the Weekend.
