Ok, so I am new to botting. Currently im just farming ore and herbs and selling them. I was wanting to know some better ways to make gold than just selling herbs/ore. I have access to JC,Scribe, and Alchemist at the moment and will possibly be doing a Tailor in the near future. Also how is everyone obtaining their botting accounts? Buying from someone or just re buying all the expansions and starting over everytime you get banned. What are some ways to decrease the chance of getting banned, I do not farm all the time 24/7. Will doing a small amount CoD to my AH tunes help? Thanks for all your input in advance.
on my server its not even worth it to sell the gems, if you can get a current base of 30g+ for a stack of ore on my realm its better than prospecting and maybe getting a gem for 50g. if you find a bulk seller and buy the gold heavily discounted, you might hit a nice increase in gold, but try and get it 25g a stack at least, it all depends on your server's economy and what's selling well and WHEN, dont post when people aren't really on and don't post right smack in the middle of rush hour. I never messed with inscription tbh so I couldnt tell you that, Alchemy is nice when you can xmute Living steel, but thats a once per day CD so. Also if you can farm certain wanted battle pets and raise them to high level, they can sell pretty well too, just dont try and make that your staple for making money, it wont work, do it when you can and you will see a nice bonus per se. as far as getting new botting accounts when you get banned, its a good idea to just buy the keys again from a discounted source, you could always buy a lowbie account or something but if you dont get banned it will probably get recalled by the original owner, happens more often than not, they know why you would want a low level account and they will wait for a while for you to bot up multiple characters with max proffs and you'll probably even put the expansion on it, and then BAM, they recall, buy keys man, and dont have everything in your name. There is no surefire way to not get banned, but to decrease the chance of it happening to you, dont bot constantly, dont farm in the same place using the same profiles all the time, switch it up, gathering will get you caught more than anything else, public profiles after they get well-known will get you banned if you abuse them..Basically bot for a couple hours, dont spam AH with your stuff, spam trade and find a buyer, just make it seem like a human being is actually playing, hide in plain sight. When I am monitoring my stuff sometimes I will talk to people, and just do things to make myself seem like im actually playing. Hope this helped you out bub, happy/safe botting, and good luck!
Great information, and thank you for the time in writing that. Would it help if I had a character or 2 on the same account and switched between the 2 or 3, maybe one for farming herbs/ore. one for instance farming and another for whatever. That way im still making gold but not doing the same thing all the time. Switching between toons and different bots?
personally I think people get banned for the length their character(s) on one account is on for, but if you only have one account, then yes, farm ore for a couple hours give or take, log on to another character and gather some herbs, then maybe send the herbs to an alchemist, ya know so it looks like you're actually playing and making the most of your time. I haven't done it, but I don't recommend instance farming, more often than not I see people getting banned for it, to me it isnt worth the risk, but in the same respect there are always those people that say they've had an account for X amount of time and have done countless hours of instance farming and have yet to be banned, so, its really up to you. as for switching profiles (you only use one "bot") just look around the thread and see what catches your eye, I recommend Kick's stuff, I am using his leveling pack for 1-90, find his page and peruse through his threads.
