So I was banned about 6 months ago on my gatherbuddy account. I am still playing my main and I am getting the itch to start playing with another gatherbuddy account that I parked. I would be devastated if I lost my main account, so I am debating the safety of having a second computer run using Hide My Ass! Free Proxy and Privacy Tools - Surf The Web Anonymously

Thoughts? Can they still trace it back to my main account?

In my opinion, they have under supervision all programs like HMA ***'s so if you go with a ***, you are auto "tagging" yourself to be banned....

oh great. Not exactly what I want!!! Does two different computers make a difference? Can you somehow make 2 IP address distinct per computer?

Most of the US ISP's (like Comcast and AT&T and Time Warner) uses dynamic IP addresses which means your IP address changes any where from 3 days to 12 months. This is based on what your ISP decides. You IP address is attached to your Mac address of your modem. So change your modem and your IP address changes. Or even some modems allow you to gain admin access and change the mac address which will force the same results.

Though you probably already have a new IP based on the time.

Also because most of the world has dynamic IP addresses I highly doubt they will use this information besides at the time of the ban. Ban the botting and account and instantly flag all accounts attached to that IP address. Not something they retro black list months down the line.
