I really think that Blizzard is a pach_idermic company, which is way too slow to take to take crucial decisions. They started to be super aggressive with botters just after 8 years, by using "common sense" to get us instead of hard ways (such us bot banwaves). The game is already gone to hell, it's a bit late to "unscrew it up". I play on a italian server. When the server was started, they opened a few 2-weeks free transfer windows to move your toon from SOME SERVERS to the new italian servers. Needless to say, many italian players were playing into non-eligible servers. It took A LOT OF WHINING and several months to make them open the free migrations again. But it was, obviously, way too late. Most people play at the beginning of an expansion, if you don't let them play the way they want, they'll just leave. End of the story. One last thing: blizzard is losing incredible amonts of money because of the so-called "Raf Gametime". It has been around for YEARS now, in several forms: all of them rely on the fact that some smart guys can trick the system by making it believe you've paid for a month of gametime on a RAFed account. The solution would be easy: the free month of gametime should be credited to the recruiter just 1 week AFTER the recruited account has paid his gametime. This would end it once and for all. But i guess they're too busy doing...dunno?
RAF does not work, It did for at least 6 months but now days it does not work they have *****ed down on it a lot with the RAF thing. But for WoW itself and botting I guess they could do more but if they wrecked HB all together they would also lose a lot of subs so atm its a win win.
