Obviously you won't rank up like this, but it's a pretty good win-rate if you're going for the golden hero. Took me 9 hours to cap in ranked. Threw together a deck yesterday since there were no mage guides here yet. The deck mainly focuses on cards that either summon more than one minion, buff stats on themselves or others, benefit from others, or have a taunt. To top it off, we take advantage of a few of the mage's signature spells to make life easier. Code: Mirror Image x2 Goldshire Footman Young Priestess Frostbolt Amani Berserker Knife Juggler Murloc Tidehunter Arcane Intellect Ironfur Grizzly Questing Adventurer Raging Worgen Raid Leader Razorfen Hunter Shattered Sun Cleric Fireball x2 Polymorph x2 Defender of Argus Sen'jin Shieldmasta x2 Water Elemental x2 Frostwolf Warlord x2 Blizzard Flamestrike Stormwind Champion x2 Things this deck could do better (that I observed at least): - Don't play Young Priestess alone. Preferably wait for a taunt to be out. Mirror Image + Young Priestess creates a wall that will (usually) last for multiple turns when played together on turn 2 (provided you get both). - Use the hero power to destroy minions with only 1 health, instead of playing a minion that only marginally helps you at the time. Particularly in situations where the enemy minion will kill one of your minions next turn. - Try to play Mirror Image right before Frostwolf Warlord - Use hero power to enrage Amani Berserker / Raging Worgen unless they can be killed by doing so. - Don't use the coin to quickly summon a questing adventurer! Save the coin so you can play more cards after he is summoned. - Defender of Argus seems to often only buff one minion when there are only two minions out, and the minion it chooses to buff is the one that needs defending. Either buff both or use the taunt buff on the minion I don't care about them attacking.
Just remove questing adventurer from the deck. The bot does not know either play nor counter-play it. That will increase you winrate.
I considered that, although I found a lot of people try to use more powerful spells than necessary to quickly eliminate it because it is often played behind a taunt. Planning to test more both with and without it. Best case scenario is if the logic for Questing Adventurer just gets fixed.
I think the sheep prior is terrible, i see know already a few time that my bot sheep the lowest mob on the table
Yeah I noticed that Polymorph could definitely use a logic upgrade, but in the majority of cases for me it was used correctly. There are still those occasional moments where it does something retarded with it though.
this deck did not work for me proper, can be because I started it on rank 12. I try i out later again till now lost 7 on a row
