Gatherbuddy needs to install an extra component?

"Gatherbuddy needs to install an extra component to work, it will do it now. Once finished, please restart Gatherbuddy!"

Thats the msg I keep getting. I installs a few extra things. But I get the same thing over and over again. Hasn't worked in a month, but finally sick of it now. And yes, I run it under admin.

Can someone help me?

 

I had the same problem. Make sure .net 3.5 SP1 is installed and you have restarted your machine. If that doesn't work download and install the workaround.

go to the first post of the GB thread, download the workaround.zip file, extract that file in the GB folder, run it as admin (make sure its /gb/workaround.exe), it will run, then run GB.exe as admin

 

I downloaded the workaround, but there is no option to unzip it, or run it as admin.

 

the file that you linked is a .zip file.

unzip it (uncompress it)

after that, right click the .exe and run as administrator
