Do you start completely over with a new bnet, or create a 55 dk on an existing account and transfer to a fresh one?

Leveling accounts isn't the best way to do it in my opinion...

I buy lvl 77 and up accounts.. Best price I've ever gotten was $70 for the account.. Anything less than $100 is worth it since Vanilla+BC+WOTLK costs $70 at the cheapest, then you've gotta spend 2 weeks leveling the toon from 1-80.. I'd rather spend $100 and make it back in that 2 weeks.

/agreed. Aside from looking at regular account selling sites, check your location on craigslist.com (if that's popular in your area)

I just decided to look out of boredom a few days ago and bought 2 80 accounts. I got a warlock for $75 and a paladin for $80. So I paid an extra $15 for the characters on the accounts..probably would have cost me that much in electricity had I botted them. Noice

I've had fairly good luck with PlayerAuctions.. I just had my first issue with PlayerAuctions because the seller "accidentally" provided the wrong email address to PlayerAuctions when making the trade.. Reguardless of if it was a legitimate mistake or not, I disputed the transaction and got my money back. If your going to use PlayerAuctions I'd recommend buying accounts that are from people that have atleast *some* positive reputation, and if they have a list price of $150, ya never know.. they might just be willing to sell it for $100 even :) One last thing though.. If your going to go through PlayerAuctions never let the seller talk you in to an offsite trade unless you know 100% what your doing (Markee Dragon has plently of guides/good guidelines to follow if your going to attempt a trade yourself.)

I too buy wow accounts, generally I only buy lvl 70 - 75 and I get them under $50.

I got lucky and bought a 70 hunter, with WOTLK enabled for $30 once

Also bought 2x lvl 70 BC accounts for $20 each.

On a website that offers a 3rd party program for another MMO.

Obviously these people all played WOW for a little bit then went back to the other game.

No, im not telling you where sorry :)

But this may give you guys some ideas, look outside the box where people may just want afew $$ for beer money if they dont even play WOW anymore. Maybe a local PC enthusiast forums etc.
