Hi guys I would like to ask for some help, I would like to have a PC which can handle 5 Bots (and not cost me too much...)

I have an old one and was thinking to upgrade with the below hardware what is the chance that this configuration can handle my needs?

      CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 (4*2,5Ghz, 1333Mhz FSB, Socket775)
      Memory DDR 2 - 4*2GB 800Mhz
      Video - Asus HD5450-SL-2GD3-L 2GB PCIe

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Should be more than adequate for 5 bots.
If you're tech savvy, see if you can overclock the CPU. It's quite an overclocker. I have one running at around 3.2GHz on stock volts.

You should say what bot you're gonna use, since some of them have high cpu usage.
On a quad you won't need to OC or whatever. The RIG seems fine for 5 bots. Maybe a bit low in RAM, depending on what you're gonna run.

Yep then you'll probably need a bit more ram, dungeonbuddy has a huge consumption ;) else I guess it'll be running fine.

Ok thanks then I have to buy a new motherboard as the current one has only 2 slots.....and DDR2 memories are in skyhigh prices :D 4gb module cost here like 70-80$

If you already have the hardware, I honestly wouldn't bother upgrading. You don't need 60 FPS, you need 10-15.
With macros and proper optimization of Windows I believe it's enough.

      Code:
      #1:
      /console m2Faster 1
      /console ffx 0
      /console hwPCF 1
      /console shadowlod 0
      /console timingmethod 1
      /console showshadow 0
      /console showfootprints 0
      /console showfootprintparticles 0

      #2:
      /console overridefarclip 0
      /console farclip 177
      /console horizonfarclip 1305
      /console detailDoodadAlpha 0
      /console groundeffectdensity 16

      #3:
      /console groundeffectdist 1
      /console smallcull 1
      /console skycloudlod 1
      /console characterAmbient 1
      /console extshadowquality 0
      /console environmentDetail 0.5
I can recommend that you don't install WoW on the same drive as Windows. Unless you're using an SSD (which I doubt with those specs :)), it's gonna help a lot with load times and general stability.
And while an overclock isn't necessary, and introduces additional points of failure (hence why I said if you're tech savvy :)), WoW uses much more CPU than GPU.
So if you're really pushing the CPU with 4 cores and 5 bots, and additional 20% clock speed would be noticeable.

I ran 3 bots with my 3GHz 8 core and 8GB of DDR3 1600. You need to turn all the settings to minimum and it might be ok. I bought more ram so I could play other games with my 3 bots running. Also bought another VC and slied them. But if you dont plan on playing on the PC while you bot. You can probably do it.

Personally I would buy an SSD big enough to install wow on and use that beacuse even if you need more power the SSD can be moved to a new rig and this is going to be where most of your lag comes from if you are running 5 wows on an old computer.

If you want to be cheap on a new rebuild. Buy an amd 8 core or better and a mobo to support it and put 16GB of ram with an SSD and you will for sure be golden.

Don't buy the APU CPU's they are ok solo but it is just wasted power if you have a video card.
