This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.
I'm not sure if it means gold selling while i've had honorbuddy, but I was ages ago. Over a year? I also bought this account, also over a year ago. Shall i still complain?
Take the suspension, then take a day or two and do not bot. Run a few things by hand, perhaps level a profession or two, then jump right back into it. This doesnt look like a botting suspension, more a transfer of gold or mats between toons that looked suspicious, etc. Or Blizz is just guessing. Lay low a few days and all should be well.
With the new info you posted, I'd prolly just ride the 72 hour suspension, then lay low for a few days like Malice suggested.
Yes write an E-Mail or better call them and tell that you never sold inGame Gold for real Gold, and you dont understand why that put up a temp ban. so a little bit as a complete newbi in wow. Some Weeks ago i got 2 Accounts with 72h bann, after an E-Mail they unbanned both. I didnt sell Gold i didnt farmed, just lvled with Profiles. As i told in some other Posts, Blizzard is watching Grinding Profiles and a lot of Auctions in low Level area.
I just looked at my Buddycenter, too see if anyone has been whispering me etc. And i got whispers from people with very weird names? People who whispered me: Glåm: He said: hawe funn dont need Bláz?*ér said: just started 1 and this was all today, all about the time i got banned? I was currently leveling a profile when all this happens? What happened? :S Do you think i got hacked? or are those names from GM's?
My bad... Buddycenter is just a bit bad for names. I can remember sending those whispers to people, buddycenter just spealt there names odd! Sorry >.<
Yeah, it has to do with special characters and the page encoding. If you change to UTF-8, the names will look normal. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to change the page encoding on an iPhone yet.
Hey, I had a suspension too: Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy I wrote them and my account is free again (after 5 hours or so).
I can confirm I did get banned for botting. I was using Kick's 1-60 Human Profile. Unfortunately kick there was too much grinding in the profile on low levels greens. And thats how I got caught.
