says it in the title, how come no one is talking about this.... seems like it was an intend change that i cant fix without some help.
New patch dropped. Wont be able to use until tomorrow probably. https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honor...-update-status-patch-7-1-0-build-22950-a.html
Did you delete wow-64.exe ? If wow.exe finds this file it will abort 32-bit launching and will instead start wow-64.exe -- marrvin
Tomorrow? It's probably going to be a lot faster than 24 H. It was just a small patch so I wouldn't think it's gonna take more then max 6 hours.
Not realted to the size of the patch, never was, never will be... It's related to the amount of changes done in the patch.
Well good thing this patch was a fix for 1 bug iirc. Aka no changes. Tbh I'm perplexed it isn't up by now.
just because they changed one small thing in game, it doesn't mean they couldn't completely change their detection scheme server side and introduce a whole new way to catch us botters. Patch size means absolutely nothing. You get to wait like the rest of us.
so we have one person going on about patch size, another going on about number of changes, and another one saying it has to do w/ changing server side detection? want a tip? server side detection cant be "fixed" and we have no idea what they do to catch us on their end or how they do it. The buddyteam has long admitted this as has basically every other bot dev that exists. so tell me again how theyre magically keying into blizzards server side magic and implementing fixes via voodoo? you are right about one thing though - we get to wait like everyone else. (well for hb at least. have a few other bots running atm till it comes up)
Where did I ever say they changed server side detection....I said they COULD have changed it. And who said anything about "fixing" it, too? You fully admit that we have no idea how they catch us, and then you say that they couldn't "fix" something to catch us? You, sir, have no clue what you're talking about.
Found a cool little thing on hotfixes like these. If you exit WoW but don't use the battle net launcher to start/finish the patch and instead use the honorbuddy launcher, it'll bypass the bnet application and won't require you to patch. Most of you probably knew that already, but I just discovered it. I patched it on my laptop, but not the rig I actually use to "play". Honorbuddy fired right up, and I'm back in the game!
response to the OP 1-rename wow64.exe to something else. dont delete it. 2-every time you start the bnet client, it double checks for missing files, so only use your bnet client when absolutely necessary. 3-anytime your bnet client starts, you must go back and rename the new wow-64.exe file. 4-drag your wow.exe file to the taskbar to create a shortcut. 5-start wow using this shortcut, it will take you straight to x86. 6-if it fails, go back to step 1. patching hb isnt just about what is listed in the patch notes. its about finding changes not listed in the patch notes. blizz never lists all changes to the public.
That's really not safe man.( i know all botting isn't safe, but that's more risk that normal.) it does work depending on the patch. some patches are important enough the game will not play till its patched. other small ones it does. but you're playing with an outdated version of HB at that point. and have no clue if its been triggered for detection. there's a reason HB takes time to re-release. testing is needed to make sure its at least as safe as they can make it.
