The developers are skilled, and have many projects to work on. I think they could spend some time, and make Buddy-Wing workable:

      1. Get the CCs completed.
      2. Get the dailies working.
      3. Make public the work already done on the leveling bots, and let the community work on it.

      In that order.

You know, if I'm not mistaken, that stuff is accomplished via the profiles and the WingIt module which are open source so anybody can work on it. Personally, I'd rather see the devs working on things that the BW community cannot fix for themselves.

I've purchased a product that does not work. The dev's skills are greatly demonstrated... I have 7 toons at level 10, which was done with ease. So, eventually, this bot will be amazing, but in it's current state, it is unusable for any level 50s. I'm a casual gamer with a tendon problem that inhibits my playing--- I use HB in WoW to raid, or I wouldn't be able to. I'll have to look around for instructions on how to make a CC.

the space mission bot is coming soon, and me and kick are busting our asses on profile development AND I FUCKING HATE PROFILE DEVELOPMENT. as far as dailys go, there are already daily profiles available, and the fact that they exist means that if someone wanted too, they could make better ones. its just for whatever reason community support behind this product is lagging, if we did release with no profiles then no one would of made any, its basicly all been us doing everything, plugins, CC's, Profiles. and with just a few of us, YEA it takes time.

The language is very, very similar, but not quite identical to that used by Honorbuddy. There is no BW profile writing guide, but the one for Honorbuddy should be plenty to get you started if you are serious:

      [wiki]HonorBuddy: Getting Started as a Profile Writer[/wiki]

Most new profile writers start by taking one of the existing profiles that ships with BW as a model, and going from there.

      cheers,

I'm sorry to say mate but if BW worked at all on my system then you'd have optimised daily profiles for all dailies by now. As it is, though, it's been a long time since it's worked decently and it's been almost two weeks since it stopped working completely without any reply.

You know I don't generaly whine but the fact that DB has killed all support for BW has been reason enough for me to abandon BW completely.

I completely understand your feelings. It's frustrating at best. I want to help build profiles as well. I have found no way to know how to get quest id's and some other info I need to get the process moving. Even a little bit of help/attention thrown our way would be nice. In the mean time, I guess, it's either patiently wait or ragequit :/

As a side note, I'm slowly figuring out the things i need to know, but it would be a lot simpler with a little bit of dev help. Oh well, enough QQ. Time to dig in again.

This is a slap in the face imo

If you'd like to assist with exactly what you want instead of being so vague

      what cc's have issues?
of said cc's that have issues:
what (exact) rotation do you want?

dailies - i don't see an issue. if you do, please tell us exactly what you want us to do (and don't be vague)

make public the work... you mean like my svn that I commit a lot of stuff to? that work?
and the community has had 2 months to 'help work' and have not given me anything but bug reports

Kick I totally understand your frustration. I am going to do all I can to help out on the profile end of things. Started a sith warrior and am currently working towards gathering class quest data to add in to dromund kass profile etc. If there's a different area/direction you would like help in, just let me know and I'll do all I can. Thanks for all your hard work.

I plan to make some profiles. Lvling, grinding, farming.
But real life kinda hit me in face. Got a girlfriend, lost a girlfriend, daughter visiting, blah blah more stuff no one cares about.
Im paying for 3 accounts. Havent played by hand, or botted in over 2 weeks.
Once all settles down, I plan to help out.

With lack of community, I think cause most people playing/botting swtor are not the helping/creating profile type. More the lazy, let me turn on bot and walk away type.
Maybe due to game (not holding peoples attention), not sure. Maybe people spoiled. Also lack of money made. Like wow back in day when could make living off selling gold. If you was makin money, you would help to make better.

Just my 2 cents. And thoughts.

I would love to help, but i'm such a noob at.. coding? that it would take me forever to learn, and since i don't have any kinda profile guide for beginners (that i actually understands) i just have to be patient, and just make a request from time to time :( wish i knew how to make profiles so i could make all kinds of profiles :/

Listen this is not about users of a product being lazy, its about this.....

Buddy Wing is a farming tool for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Buddy Wing automates routine tasks, that otherwise have to be done by human players themselves. Buddy Wing allows you to do your daily quests, both for Jedi Republic or the Sith Empire. Buddy Wing covers the dailies on Ilum and Belsavis; it allows you to run profiles that grind mobs and it opens chests.

Buddy Wing also comes with an build-in engine and profiles to level your character from level 1 to level 50. Not all leveling profiles are done yet, but they will be done and tested by 1st July 2012. Leveling is still possible even if not yet fully automated as an 1-click solution.

This is what is stated before spending money on this product. It doesn't say, oh btw you actually have to do most of it yourself, support our product and when you submit bug reports or suggestions we won't answer or just get pissed you said anything. And if i see one more user defending this product i don't think my fragile ego will be able to handle it. Multiple parts of this are unfinished or simply do not work, end of story. And yes honorbuddy was a great bot and yes ppl made tons of real life money off it so YES they were willing to support any lack of support that the devs weren't doing.

I will continue to wait for a finished product, thank you for anyone putting time into this, and hopefully things happen sooner rather than later.

bro... please leave and never come back... srsly.
honorbuddy was way worse in the beginning than BW is. And EVERYTHING the description says is true.
you can bot 1-50. just finished my 2nd toon. it is not a 1-Click Solution like said in the description. you still have to do alot of work yourself and it gets stuck several times, true. but it is working.
dailys? working, need to be perfected but they are working.
CCs? oh wait... we got a REALLY simple all in one routine where you can create your own prefered rotation and everything you like. haven't tried it out? oh... poor you...

the devs are working hard on improving the bot and most of us REALLY appreciate your work!
CNG and Kick: awesome job! thanks for delevoping the profiles! Thanks for doing a job that was ALWAYS done by the community in with HB!

bro: you have brought what is said in the description! end of story. it is doing exactly that. not more, not less. if you can't get the bot run at all.. well... maybe you should read the manual again?
maybe you should read the forums? alot of questions and problems where already solved... if there is a problem for the 10th time of cause even the devs get angry and won't respond... you know why? because you haven't payed for a babysitter here!
with purchasing the bot you earn the right to use the given product. which is the engine itself. so... you want more profiles?! WRITE THEM!

Cool, is there a guide on how to do this or is it included in the user manual? I think I missed it.

The code is the documentation. :) It's in the Routines\WingIt folder and you can get the latest version from Kick's SVN repo.

Aquintus here's a shocker, I read the forums and post logs of issues. If I lived in my parents basement I'd have loads of time to code my own cc's for BW, write my own profiles and babysit bots.

In case we all forgot especially yourself here's the definition of a bot

Definition - What does Bot mean?
A bot is a general term in gaming that is used to refer to a character controlled by a computer. In one sense, bots are all the non-player characters (NPCs) in a game, including those that fight alongside as well as against the gamer. However, the definition of bots has broadened to include gamers who employ third-party programs to control their characters.

I don't see the word babysit in there, "Bro".

I wash my hands of this anyway.

Ok, so, I've put in all of about 6 hours into figuring out this bot. In that short span of time, I have learned how to make a profile do almost anything I want the bot to do. For those of you that are frustrated with the progress, I suggest you go the same route. If you are too lazy or lack the time to dig up the necessary documentation to get you going in the right direction, I will post some useful links. I can promise you that this is a VERY time consuming process. Especially making the bot run bug free while questing, getting side quests, and using objects, taxis, and elevators. If you have any previous experience with profile writing or advanced bot using skills, quit whining and dive in here and help. It's the only way I can see that we can help speed things along at the moment. Lets make the best of it.
