I was expecting a heavy hit, but I swear it's almost like I am getting more matts now! No joke, came home, ran for about 4 hours, 20 full boxes in the mail, and that's a good number (2.5 bag fulls of embersilk bags). Doing JF Mine/Herb here.

Anyone else getting the same results, or are you actually hurt?

I think a lot of depends what your farming and your profile. If I'm running Valley or Jade Forest, I am still getting tons of mats. If I do some of my (old) favorite routes for Fool's Cap or Snow Lily, than I get very, very little compared to what I was getting pre-5.1.

I simply added Jade Forest to my old multi zone profile which farmed a little of everything and I'm getting 180 nodes/hr. I have a feeling if I focused simply on Jade Forest/ Valley of Four Winds I would be over 200, but I would miss all of the snow lily and fools cap and trillium.

Old profile used to farm 220/hr, so the nerf isn't hurting me all too much.

I think your profile goes to Dread Wastes and Townlong Steppes? Those are really useless now, a waste of time.
But that's still very very little nodes, I'm still at 170-220 nodes.

Wow, that's horrible. I recommend running profiles for lower end areas.

Also are you guy selling ore or prospecting? At almost 700g a pop primal diamonds are the ish. 27k g for 2 stacks.

Primal diamonds are under 200G each on my server. Ghost iron about 20G per stack.
So smelt, transmute, sell stacks of Trillium for 1000G per stack....

It will always be more profitable to prospect ores.
Prospecting a stack will give you atleast one rare gem you can cut, plus you will get 2-3 rings/necks to disenchant.

Hmm, did the calculations, trillium stacks might actually be a better deal for me!

What are you guys doing with herbs? I am still auctioning them off, but last night i got about 30 golden lotuses in the 4 hours I ran, might be better to make flasks.

I mill some herbs, Starlight Inks sell for 110g each atm. And usually 1 Starlight Ink per stack, but Starlight Ink doesn't sell very fast. I sell many of my herbs on AH.

I make flasks and potions and sell on raid nights and weekends.

Flasks sell extremely well consistently at 100g each, give or take. I usually make 40 a day on my elixir master (10 of each) and throw them up at around 7pm server and they almost always sell out. Essentially, a guaranteed 4k in my pocket every single day.

Potions I'm not so much sold on, fool's cap has become harder to come by, the few I gather I use for the strength flasks, as for the other kinds of pots, it takes extra time to craft 100 of each to sell every night, I personally stopped doing this, even though they were fetching 80-100g per stack.

I have been turning all of my ghost iron into trillium bars, but at this point I have an entire guild tab full of trillium bars, so the next few days I think I will prospect on my JC and make some primal diamonds on my trans master.

I personally used to just cod everything away to other people who would do the shuffle gimmick, but after doing it on my own the past weeks I find it much more rewarding. I actually enjoy this aspect of the game more now than I do any other, and I find myself having a hard time making time to do dailies/LFR on my raiding characters.

Making gold has become my new addiction and time sink this expansion, and I have to be honest, it's much more fun than raiding 4-5 nights a week in a progression guild eating shit from some douchebag raid leader with anger issues.

Now I just buy my gear and have more fun doing it!

Glad you are having fun doing what you are doing.

I too find myself wasting 1-2 hours a day just setting up bots and getting the AH going.

And try to find more fun guilds. Ran a pug last night with an old guild of mine, made the content actually fun :)
