      Hey guys!
Today I'm going to show you how to download, install, and use Pokefarmer! A lot of you on Discord has asked for someone to write a tutorial so I decided to do so.

First things first, we download the bot.
To download the latest version click here: Buddy Updates
Find Pokefarmer and click the link below it.

Before we unzip it, we need to disable any antivirus protection because a lot of people are submitting this bot as malware to keep people from using it. It's 100% safe! Bossland has been in the bot business for many successful years. It's simply a "false positive".

Once you have unzipped and saved the file, we will now open the file and find Pokefarmer.exe

Double click it and the program will open. If it does not, refer to my FAQ section below.

Once the bot is open, you will now configure your bot. As of this tutorial I am using 1.0.117

Go to the settings button > General

Let's go over the settings and what they do.

      Move Cycle
      a. Run between Pokestops is a good setting for farming Pokemon. However, you can choose the bot to go gym to gym, or from pokestop to gym.

      b. Stay in Radius - this keeps your bot in range so it doesn't wander off into the middle of nowhere. A good setting is between 200m-500m. If you're botting in an area like Central Park where there are tons of stops around, you may want to set the setting to 200 meters.

      Speed Limits
If you want to have a realistic type bot set this setting to walking speed. Other options are jogging, riding a bike, and driving a car. Walking speed is pretty safe.

Stop at Pokestops - this is a good setting to turn on if you would like to look as legit as possible and stay under the radar of Niantic. It is wise to use this setting. Of course it will slow down the amount of XP you get per hour, but to me it's worth not getting banned.

      Logic

Catch Pokemon - tells bot to catch Pokemon
Loot Pokestops - tells bot to get items at Pokestops
Transfer Pokemon to professor - tells the bot to transfer Pokemon to professor (see below for custom settings)
Use incense it available - uses incense (if available) to increase Pokemon spawn rate.
Use incubator if available - uses empty egg incubator to hatch your eggs for you as you walk.
Use Lucky Egg if available - uses lucky egg (if available) to increase the experience you get x2
Prioritize Rare Pokemon - turn this setting on to tell the bot to catch a Snorlax over a caterpie. (See below for info on how to customize this setting).

      Settings > Catching

Okay, the top drop down lets you choose how the bot should catch the Pokemon for you. A good setting is "Use CP based Pokemon Strategy". This will allow you to tell the bot to use a pokeball on Pokemon under a certain CP and use Ultra Balls and Great balls on stronger Pokemon. If you don't have a great/ultra ball it will use a regular pokeball.

Below that are already recommended CPs. You can change the values if you'd like.

Never use Masterball (check) because of course we don't want to use a Masterball should our bot get one on a zubat (lol).
Use random throw accuracy (check) because we want our bot to not have an "excellent!" Throw every time which will send flags to Niantic. Unchecking this box will make the bot have perfect throws giving you 210 exp each time which will level you quicker. Use at your own risk.
Use highest pokeball on rare Pokemon (check) because we want a good chance to catch a rare Pokemon!

      Catching Strategy
Skip Pokemon if {x} Pokemon caught within last hour
Check this and set to 45-65 to stay safe. Niantic may be flagging accounts for catching so many Pokemon each hour.
      Do not catch list
Check the Pokemon you want the bot to ignore and not catch. (like those pesky zubats and ratattas)

      Pokestop settings
Stay near a lured pokestop (check) if you would like to stay around a lured pokestop to catch more Pokemon.
Skip pokestop if you have {x} amount of Pokeballs. This is good to use because it will limit the amount of Pokestops you spin which may also have a limit before Niantic flags an account.
Skip pokestop if you've spun it {X} times in the last hour. Set this to 45 to keep your account safe.

      Tranferring Settings

Here you can choose how Pokefarmer transfers your catches.
On the first drop down, select how many of the same Pokemon you would like to keep. You can select to keep 1,2,3 of the highest CP and/or IV Pokemon and discard the rest.

(Check) transfer immediately - if you want to transfer after every catch. If not, the bot will transfer the Pokemon once your Pokemon list is full.
(Check) protect favorite Pokemon - keep your favorited Pokemon safe from the bot transferring them!

      Ignore List:
Here you will check each Pokemon you do not want transferred no matter what their CP/IV is.

      Rare Pokemon Setting
Now you can tell the bot which Pokemon you think is rare and would like to catch first. (You must have the setting checked in the "General" settings)

      Inventory Settings

Here you can tell Pokefarmer what items are important for you to keep, and what items you would like to toss. Obviously since you're botting, you don't care about potions, so have that setting low and your Pokeballs high.

      Recommended Setting: Check Recycle Immediately.

      Network (proxy) settings

This is only useful if you're IP banned from the game or running multiple bot accounts at the same time. Since it is not recommended to run multiple bots on the same IP, you can insert proxy settings here. It is also helpful if you would like to spoof your location in a different country.

      Device Settings

These are settings for you to use to help legitimize your bot. Click "Generate" to generate a random device.
It's been mentioned before, Niantic does not currently care how many or what devices you play the game on. But one thing is certain, you probably would not want to use your phones actual device ID and information in case they start banning that information! Then you will never be able to play on your phone again. What a sad day that would be.

      Language settings

Choose what language you'd like to use.

      FAQ

      1. My bot says "walking" and there are tons of Pokemon beside it that it's not catching!
This is because you probably have a catching limit per hour set. Go to settings > catching and scroll down and you need to change your catch rate per hour or turn it off.

      2. The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.
The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install.
      Solution
      Install Windows Updates:
Go to Start - Control Panel - Windows Update
      Check for updates
      Install all available updates.
After the updates are installed, restart your computer.
After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.

      Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:

      For Windows 64-bit
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (64-bit)
      For Windows 32-bit
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (32-bit)

Run the vc_redist.x64.exe (64-bit) or vc_redist.x86.exe (32-bit) and select Uninstall
Run the .exe again and select Install

      3. Is it best/safe to bot in another country?
No. It is recommended to use to proxy from the country you want to bot in to remain unseen by Niantic.

      4. What are some good coordinates to farm in?

      United States

      New York - Central Park.
      Code:
      40.764871, -73.9734972
      Santa Monica Pier - California
      Code:
      34.008930,-118.497810
      South Carolina - Myrtle Beach
      Code:
      33.714451, -78.877194
      Australia
      Sydney, Australia
      Code:
      -33.859048, 151.213183
      United Kingdom, Solihul
      Brueton Park
      Code:
      52.406730, -1.765572
      Germany
      Aachen
      Code:

      Hamburg
      Hammer Park
      Code:

      Girardetbrücke in der Königsalle
      Code:
      51.224382, 6.778896
      5. Session expired, relogging.
If you keep getting this message, it is good to close Pokefarmer then go to Buddy Auth Portal
      - Buddy Auth Portal
and log in. Go to sessions and clear your current session and restart Pokefarmer.

      6. Pokefarmer won't open.
If Pokefarmer will not open make sure that your antivirus did not detect it as a false positive and delete a file. Try disabling your antivirus protection and redownload and unzip the file again.

      7. What is IV?
Pokemon have 3 stats: Stamina, Attack, Defense. Each type of pokemon has different base values for these. You can look these up in charts because they never change.

For example, all Vaporeons have base stats of: 260 STA, 186 ATK, 168 DEF.

However, each Pokemon is also randomly assigned a 0-15 bonus to each of them. These bonuses are called IV's (i.e. Individual Values, because they are values specific to each individual). They represent genetic variance, in that some pokemon are just genetically superior to others of the same type. A pokemon with a +15 bonus to all 3 stats (15/15/15) is considered 100% perfect. A pokemon's IVs stay the same when you evolve it.

For example, when IVs are added, individual Vaporeons can have total stats ranging from: 260-275 STA, 186-201 ATK, 168-183 DEF. A perfect Vaporeon will have 275 STA, 201 ATK, 183 DEF.

Pokemon with higher stats will have higher CP (combat points, the number above their head in the game). This means that pokemon with higher IVs (and thus stats) will have higher CP than ones with lower IVs, even when they are the same level.

For example, a level 20 Vaporeon with the worst IVs (0/0/0) would have 1387 CP. But a level 20 Vaporeon with the best IVs (15/15/15) would have 1610 CP.

Great tutorial, but even using these settings, are you able to get an account up past Level 20, and not have it banned within 3 days?

Every account I have botted has ended up getting banned in under a week, regardless of what precautions I take.

Hey buddy! Ive gotten to 25 without a problem so far, I log in for about 2 hours a day using the setup the OP posted. This is after having 4 accounts banned at 21. It's all about the timing. If you want to hunt in NY? better not log in for a few days and only farm acouple of hours. Yes... It's long very long and boring but, ive got 83% of the pokedex completed. No bans and I always hunt for specific pokemon. Not catching every pokemon i see.

      Hope that helps!
