First they ban everyone that has used PokeAdvisor or sites similar. 1 week later they implement the same thing that PokeAdvisor did into the game. smh...Thank you PF for letting me get to end game before my ban. No need to play anymore.
They did add something to determ if your pokemon is worth it or not... but doesn't calculate the exact IV. It does give you the message 'it's a wonder' if it's above 80% IV. And they didn't ban any players using pokevision/pokeadvisor or any tool... they just said they advise you to not use them. Banhammer was only used on those who got inhuman/botlike behaviour in the game.
Actually true. I have over 40 accounts. Obviously most of my botted/snipe accounts got banned. What surprised me was some of my legit accounts (~levels 12-17) hooked up to PokeAdvisor got the ban hammer. Currently sitting at 3 GPS spoof accounts that haven't received the hammer and 2 fully legit accounts. Sidenote: please review the forum's code of conduct. There's no need to be rude.
I had a few no bot/no spoof/no snipe accounts that were hooked up to PokeAdvisor that say otherwise. luckily they were all under level 20. *grammatical edits
they didn't ban anyone that used pokeadvisor and they implemented IV checks because people were using that as an excuse to access their API without permission, so now they don't have an excuse to access it. I think it's good what they did.
Maybe, but I don't think that's the case. I believe his accounts were banned because they were connected to PokeAdvisor. As the OP says, Niantic bans accounts using these types of websites as it's against their ToS. I've ran 100+ accounts now (many of which are banned now) and I've never received a single ban because I used the same device or IP as another bot account (at least that I'm aware of). With that said, I'm not saying it's impossible that they'd ban because of device/IP sharing. I understand that it's against their ToS to create multiple accounts as well.
