Our PF moves on map automaticlly as spin a pokestop, catch pokemons by radius (Move Cycle). Why dont we have waypoints settings (point to point)? We can draw the ways that we like to go on map. This is my ideas. Thank you

We have discussed over and over again, and responded to many requests for changes to our walking behavior system. While we agree this would be cool to implement, it is currently on the back burner, as its a feature/request that is not presently as urgent as others (simply because the functionality is completely there and working). All that means is that in time (when other requests are slowed down) and when we do not have a new API staring us in the face around every corner, we will get around to implementing some changes.

Not so much waypoints as spawn points ...

Sorry if this constitutes as highjacking the thread. Let me know and I will create a separate thread. My suggestions relates to the request, I think.

For areas not packed with pokestops and gyms, perhaps even none at all, it is hard to help the bot do a proper search of the area. If we could right click to add "spawn points" or "visit this points too" it would help the randomizing motor to cover those areas as well as the stops and the lines between them. I liked making routes to cover with waypoints ealier, but I guess drawing such thick lines with repeated movement is a good way of tipping niantic of :)

If such points could be stored and perhaps even loaded from lists of known spawn locations it would be even better, but adding such locations manualle would improve the hunt - in my opnion.

Trygve, when it comes to suggestions there is no real hijacking as long as it pertains to the OP (yours does) its only in support that "hi-jacking" is a big no no.

Let me further my prior comment.

Its not that we do not want to add something like this, its more, its a VERY time consuming project that requires ALOT of thought that we would want to give it. Its more a matter of, priority of current/past bugs reported as well as current/past suggestions and making sure we address priorities properly. I have personally advocated for modifications to walking behaviour, but its something that wont be added very soon, its a major overhaul and will require much time and planning when we are ready to sit down and look at this one (assuming the devs give the greenlight for this project though while I cannot say their thoughts at this time I see no harm in the suggestion being implemented)

      TL : DR

      I like the feature suggestion.
      Its being advocated for.
Its just not top priority right now.
Once we have time and other stuff done we (the devs and I) can sit together and decide.
If we all agree, then work will start then.

I really hope that helps explain the situation a bit more.

I dont know if you guys considered this or has it already been mentioned.

But I used HeroBot before and it allowed me to use a predetermined pathing I set up using an external file.
I cant recall what that file is called. I used a site and set up a bunch of waypoints and the site generated the file for me. Then I just pointed the location of the file (on my computer) to the bot and the bot followed the path.

That should be less time consuming than have PF itself set up waypoints.

Of course, I do agree pathing/waypoints isnt that high of a priority compared to other suggestions.

I'm not trying to be rude but an "enqueue destination" action would seemingly be incredibly easy to add to the not given how all of the other user actions work. That could provide a rudimentary path simply by giving us a right click menu and adding a point to walk to.

Now obviously I haven't seen your code, but coming from a fellow developer this would be an easy bone to throw to the lots of loyal users requesting pathing features.

      My two cents.
