I just got honorbuddy and I bought a new WoW account, not merged, for botting. I have a main account that I will not bot on because I don't want it to get banned.
I only have one computer. How can I safely play on my main account while having the bot running on my botting account? I want to do both simultaneously.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

You could your bot in a Virtual Machine, using VMware or your preferred virtual machine software.

I've been doing this for years. I bot both but also hand play my main since BC. Just do it and hope you don't get banned. There is no realistic advice. Some people bot safely and get banned while some people bot stupidly and don't get banned.

      Thanks for useful advice.
is VM the only way to run 2 instances of WoW and have HB attached to only one of them?

You could run both Main & bot at the same time, honorbuddy will give you an option which character/process ID to pick.
I'm not sure how safe that is or if there is a security risk at all.

Farm with the bot account ore and herbs, deposit mats into guild bank, use main account to withdraw and process mats and make gold. Use Pimp My Guild and Super Guild Inviter to recruit and grow your guild and WIN. Do this all from the same computer, it dont matter. All you will loose is the botting account if it gets caught.

In 3 weeks i took my L1 bank alt guild to L25 and 450 members, guild gets access to 1 bank tab, me the other 6. I sell mats to guild at 50% of AH prices, that money is deposited into the guild bank and is what funds the guild repairs. Everyone gets up to 100g a day repairs, guild loves it, and are very happy with things.

You don't use virtual machine to completely separate your 2 WoW processes?
So if Blizzard caught my botting account, they won't ban my main account even if both accounts are registered to same name and home address?

Nope, all Blizz can see is the IP my ISP gives me, it knows nothing about what is happening on my local network or on any machine, it is illegal for them to do anything more, so why bother.

They ban you based on your actions, not what IP they use. Just say they ban your farming toon for botting, they are not going to ban your processing toon as well, because, well, it has done nothing wrong now has it.

I promise you they investigate ips when they are banning.

IP checks make no sense to me though. Even if they investigate, there are several thousand people playing from the same Internet connection, for example in Study Homes or internetcafes etc. and shit like this. It just makes no sense. At my Internet at home, we all share the same IP and never the main acc got involved into any shit, even for abusing the Game hard, for example PrivateHacks(which really worked in WoW) and stuff like this.

Pretty sure if ur using the mats from ur botting account and selling/shuffling them on ur main that is link ur accounts and they can ban through association just put gold in gbank and withdraw it on main

Because every one has it's own public (WAN) IP from his/her ISP and there is a LAN IP that mostly starts with 192.168... that's at your own network (at home)

just check your public ip at whatismyip.com

If they ban this IP u won't be able to play again on this IP then u would require another IP and u could use a ***** for this so it looks like your on another location :)

keep your main account away from the botting accounts, dont trade gold etc to ur main, jsut keep it seperate. thats what I do and bot many account and play my main legit and never had a problem with my main.

I ran 4 for long time. 2 mains, 2 raf from them. Used mainly to get free mounts. But then turned them in to bot only. At one point I got the 2 mains 3 day temp ban. For abuse of economy. All same address, same billing debit card, same name. 2 linked bnet, other 2 linked bnet. When the 2 got temp ban other 2 wasnt touched.
Then just recently 1 was using the GatherIT profile with random hotspot unchecked. (My bad). He got perm ban. None of others touched.
Also same bnets I had 4 D3's all banned during ban wave. Still got the 3 going no problems.
I dont think they link names, billing, address, ip's. Unless got tons of bots going. My opinion.

So as long as just 2 or 3. I wouldnt worry on same name, ip. If you do something stupid on 1. He will get ban. Others still safe. My opinion.

if your main acc isnt taking gold in stupid ways from bot acc, then you're safe
