It is insane that you can just handle money like it is some sort of children's plaything... You can "give" money to someone but do you really get any money if it can be taken away from you if the giver just cries to their credit card company to have it chargebacked, even if you gave all your precious items to them! Do you need to live in constant fear that the money will disappear from you, even if you have done the right thing.

The precious money that can be the difference in this life if you can be healthy, have a home for your children, or it can even be a matter of life and death to someone!

This corruption and perversion is so sickening to me, the physical money as gold and silver that existed has been turned into some kind of magical thing that can be taken away from you EVEN IF YOU HAVE SPENT IT without any words from a court or any justice for that matter, and be still called "money" or "currency".

Now that being said I'll tell what actually happened. I just started selling gold to many private buyers trough paypal (donation method) and all was nice, Untill my friend wanted to post my skype details on various gold selling sites such as ownedcore... Then the scammers started to come in... One guy actually gave me the money first for 50k, and I got suspicious, but handed the gold after payment. After that he bought 100k again and I gave the gold. Then he wanted to buy 400k... This time i got VERY suspicious, since I was selling the gold for quite high price, 0.89 euros per 1000g. I said that I cannot do that, and he said "whats your price" or something like that. I demanded 1.30 euros per thousand to test him this time, and after a while he agreed.

At that point I knew surely what is going on... I said that I take the deal on and he paid. He had used three different paypal accounts at this point to make payments, and now I demanded to show the proof that he at least owns the paypal account he used to pay the biggest amount. I asked him to send me an e-mail using his paypal accounts e-mail adress as proof that he is the real owner. He said that he cannot do that, because it is his work e-mail adress that can only be used from his work place. Needless to say that he didn't want to verify the e-mail at some other date when he has work.

Yea, at the next day, all the money I had made had gone. Except that I had made a purchase from ebay with all that money just before, so I had minus paypal balance now ;)

The guys skype nic is: glasseman

always be cautious if accepting paypal. I personally only use paypal for either small amounts to private buyers or when i sell to chinese. Start using moneybookers if you are unsure, the money can't be charged back this way. I'm sorry you lost quite a nice amount of cash there, but take it as a lesson, I was in the same position as you the first time i sold gold to private via paypal =/.

Its insure if I actually lost anything, if I get the stuff I ordered from ebay

How can you avoid charge back from moneybookers if they use credit card, or you dont accept credit cards?

I think no matter who the mediator is, credit cards can be always charge backed.

just avoid paypal all together, it is shit, not only is there huge risks involved using it with the payment canceling, but they also charge quite a tall amount for the transfer to start of with, and when selling 100k gold to a chinese thats like 10% of the total amount.

I reccomend you use moneybokers instead, they offer you a mastercard so you dont have to involve your bank account when you want a little cash in the hand, not everybody is using it, but if enough people starts to lay of paypal more will start alternative payment methods, including moneybookers.

You don't lose anything if you are fine with the closure of your paypal account. I don't know if there are any legal repercussions, I know paypal doesn't bother for small amounts of cash but don't take my word. If someone pays you with moneybookers and they attempt to charge back via cc, they get a negative balance, not you. Now moneybookers would go about closing their account.

I have more then one paypal account, so as soon as i get money to one i transfer to a second, paypal will never hunt after the money but keep spamming the email of the first account they they will call the cops, and i say go ahead, i live in Sweden so they have to charge me by Swedish laws and here they can not just take the money back so i would win.

Best advice in this thread is just avoid Paypal, its the home of scam artists and idiots.
If enough people stop dealing with them then maybe they can go bankrupt and die.

Moneybookers is as vulnerable as Paypal when it comes to chargebacks, it has nothing to do with the company itself and is based on an outdated physical-based product credit card system (which is why BitCoin exists) any company dealing with credit cards has to adhere to the Consumer Protection Law or would themselves face fines and be blacklisted from using credit cards.

      SERVICE FEE
Non-business accounts will be charged a monthly service fee of 1.00 EUR (or equivalent). The fee will be waived and thus the usage of the Skrill (Moneybookers) service is FREE if the user has logged into the account or made a transaction in the last 12 months*. Otherwise the service fee will be deducted monthly from the account balance.

      from their fee page

Hadn't heard on moneybookers before but they seem legit.
Im assuming that you would have your account closed if you had enough "fraudulent" transactions posted though.
I guess i dont understand why they are safer than paypal.

what about if you transfer the money to your bank account as soon as you get it from paypal. How do they take it back then? Or do you just have a negative balance in paypal afterward?
