I've been botting Diablo 2 for yeaaaaaaaars. So why not bot WoW as well? And the possibility to earn $$ while botting is genius. I've made well over $200 from just one account. And that was a $10 (SoR) investment. Totally worth it imo.
because the bot has a better rotation then me i use it for when i do pve raids or arena pvp. i bot for more then 5 6 years now first glider afther glider honorbuddy
why do i bot, well, after losing 1/2 my arm in a car accident i bot for the combat routines, so i can still play/raid,and i know several other players like me! i wonder at times if bliz know or even care, if it wasnt for CR's alot of ppl just wouldnt be able to play anymore
I bot so I can play Minecraft and watch My Little Pony while still progressing in WoW. So Awesome! *-*
I bot because i'm a hardcore pvper, I don't like pve so I never tend to make and gold to fund my endgame enchants, gems etc etc... In order to keep getting Gladiator or higher and be able to play with friends on high lvl I use this bot mainly as a grinding bot :d
Back before i discovered glider i was a habitual farmer. I would farm for hours and hours trying to make as much gold as possible. i would then use the gold to pay for gear or gear runs from other players/guilds. Occasionally id find what i thought were other players like me.. but started seeing signs that they weren't actual players. I started gathering friends to come watch them with me. we started researching about bots and started to find them all over the server. soon after i purchased a lifetime glider account. started making farming routes. would run them for hours and hours. eventually had 5 accounts and started selling gold and items to members of the top guilds on our server. it lasted for what i felt was a long time.. but i think it was only about 3 years untill glider ended up in court with bliz. from there i had 3 of 5 accounts banned for botting/selling gold. funny part was the two accounts that had a credit card on them never got banned. these are the ones i used today. i have two guilds with just the two accounts in them. 7 and 8 tabs full of mats. that i occasionally empty to make a bunch of gold. other than that i use the bots to level char's and keep up my wow habit. if i had to use the poll above. id click bot for fun/support my wow habit ps i used to make 65$ a week back in the glider days. might not sound like a tonne.. but it sure added up! every dime of that money went in to a gic and over 2.5 years or so it ended up nearing 10k which i used to put down on my Wickid White Evo MR.
To be honest, it allowed me to play classes I probably wouldn't have had the time to try out. I think Blizzard has realised this too.
Well even though I gave up on Stun Craft, I botted to support by ability to play the game effectively. Back in WOTLK it wasn't so horrible, you could put in an hour of farming and be pretty well off but now I can bot for 7 hours, sell the mats and I am spending that money in gems and enchants within a few minutes.
To me botting is a means to an end, It buys me stuff I posted a picture of the TV it just bought me in a recent thread when I and others like me got called stupid for botting 24/7. So warcraft is quite possibly the most boring game ever the same shit dressed in different clothes all the time. Now thats fine because I use it to make money and I would never look down my nose at others for enjoying it good for them but for me without the cash flow I would not bother.
I mainly bot because I don't find enjoyment out of the game (in a casual guild) and thus I don't spend time on the AH while in TS/Mumble with my guildies just talking, and because I still like to have well geared characters (5 90's maxed out everything) I couldn't support that while not playing the game without a bot, when I used to play and enjoyed it I was happy to spend time farming but not anymore^^ Also it's fun seeing how well programmed you can engineer routes and stuff but I don't bother to much with that atm
I use it because there is too much damn stuff in WOW to keep up. Who has time to do all those damn dailies, raid finder, raid, level up, gather mats...etc...they have advanced the games size and the content to the point there is no way to do everything...let a lone have alts and try to keep up with them... My BF does play the game legit but almost goes insane trying to keep up and do everything on his 2 toons. (and I have logged on his toons and botted on his to help him out but he doesnt know that )
