[N] Vortex Pinnacle Mount Farm​

Been using Honorbuddy for quite a while making my own profiles but never really thought I had anything worth sharing, this profile seemed pretty popular though with people I knew so I've decided to upload it.

What it does:
This will run Vortex Pinnacle continuously and kill the first and second bosses while waiting 5 minutes in between each run to prevent hitting the instance limit. Looting is disabled throughout the instance and temporarily turned on for the second boss to loot the mount. I've only tried it as a Boomkin/Guardian and a Blood DK so any feedback on other classes would be great too.

How to run:
- Select Questing in honorbuddy
- Start the profile outside the instance entrance

Changes
-0.9a: Fixed the loot radius to prevent some cases where ranged classes wouldn't loot the boss.

 

Just awaiting my 5 Mins after its first run, ran great only thing that came up at end was...

[MountVehOnly-v249(warning)]: Found attribute via its alias name 'NpcMountId'.
Please update the profile to use its primary name 'VehicleMountId', instead.

But thats no big hurt easy to edit, Works great! Thanks

 

Once im done farming Stonecore for the mount im going to try this out .. looks promising!

Been running for a day now (blood dk), gotta say : Great profile

 

Indeed it is, only thing that i can point out is the bloody horde outside the entrance sometimes knocking me of the platform and down in the water lol.. causes the to just sit in the water. Nothing you can do about tho >

 

What level should the blood DK be?

Just got the mount from stonecore with another profile, will test this one out! will come back with feedback in a few hours. going with a blood dk

 

Worked great for a day, ran 20-30 rounds at a time with no issues. Last day it has ran 5-6 rounds and i come back to it down in the water. I guess someone could be knocking me off the top but my combat log doesnt know me being attacked by anything, but it seems like it is happening almost every time now. Any ideas?

 

Is your gear repaired and your bags not full? I haven't added in any vendors or repairs so I'm not sure what it will do in those situations. I can probably edit it to mount up as soon as you zone out just as a precaution though.

 

Using a blood dk, seems to work fine but sometimes it doesn't loot and this seems to be every 3rd or 4th run the boss dies further back on the edge. It just turns around runs to the side jumps off and starts again. I have to stop it then teleport back and manually loot.

Edit. Changed the loot radius in the profile from 10 to 30 fixed the issue.
Also got the mount within 30 runs so thanks!.

 

I did 65 runs so far and no mount But great profile thanks for sharing.

 

Im sitting at a 100+ runs atm. Fuuu RNG

 

works great... but made like 220+ runs and still nothing... my friend did it in less then 40 runs and got it =)

 

I got it working, just had to reinstall it for some reason. 146 runs and it just dropped for me =). Thanks man, u are awesome!

it doesn't seem to be looting the boss for me..

 

I got this after 4 runs. I had finished my third run when I left my GF's dorm to go eat dinner and when I came back it was there after my toon completed the 7th run. I literally got it when I closed the door. Scrolled up and checked how many kills BDM had counted and when the mount dropped. Vitreous Stone Drake took ~50 runs. I was amazed when I saw this mount in my bags.
