Using GB2 and Grindbot 2)If so, when was the last time?: I only just resubbed on Friday, spent a fair chunk Saturday and Sunday farming cata and old school herbs to level alchemy on an alt. Nothing excessive though. However on Sunday I spent maybe 1 or 2 hours on a level 88 pally grinding using Kota peaks v1.1 - xsilverdicex.xml. After that I jumped back on my farmer and filled his bags with GIO using [GB2][N]Ducks Double-Zone 2.4.xml a profile I have used quite a bit now. I logged on this morning and smelted all the ore, then logged off. It varied, and I didn't play all last week as the PS in my computer blew up last weekend 6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 50%, sometimes more, sometimes less. I didn't supervise at all during the last mining session, but I was watching it every few minutes when it was grinding and when it was farming the cata/old school herbs 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0, everything went into the gbank or was sent to various alts for processing 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No 10)EU or US realm? US 11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Full paid account, around 6 months old (although I took a 3 month break from WoW at the end of last year) I've put in a ticket saying I was farming for a friend so maybe I tripped a system off, if it works it works, if not I have another account ready to go. TL;DR: My throwaway bot account got banned, I only farmed ore and herbs on it irregularly for my own personal use, got banned when I was offline for at least 5 hours for 'exploitative activity'. Edit: I forgot to add, been using Kick's quest profiles to level toons on 2 other accounts flat out since Friday, no bans on those yet even though I saw the bot doing some stupid shit in some spots like Borean Tundra and Nagrand!
Ban was overturned Maybe their auto-detect systems are tuned too hard atm, and they are getting a lot of false positives? All I basically said was that I did farming for my friend over the weekend and bam, overturned. Didn't even get anything said in the reply about botting programs.
Account got banned again (Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks") same as last week) when I was offline today (Saturday) after herbing until my bags were full using the public profiles Drogofarm[GB2]Silkweed.xml and Drogofarm[GB2]Fool's cap.xml. I've barely played this account all week, I did a full bag run of GIO on Firday night though. Did quest botting on my main accounts during the week, nothing has happened to them. Only thing I can think happened is that I tripped an autosystem due to nodes per hour or something, I was watching the bot and there was no one else around to report me.

banned 3/23/13 also using ducks double Iv noticed that almost everyone getting banned is mining or herb and its in the VOT4W area i to got banned using ducks double profile. Aaaaaand I'm back! Took 72 hours for it to happen but my account was unbanned today, I added a reply to my ticket last night saying "hey what's going on, it's been 48hrs and I want to play!" I would love to know what is happening here, seems that gathering for an few hours is not a good thing to do right now
You were already flagged, they have their eyes on you. however they do it, whatever system they use to detect you it clearly works, Dont do it on that account anymore!
I disagree, if they have my account 'flagged' and they caught me botting again, why would they unban me again? Your argument makes no sense. Also, there was a report here of someone who got banned when they were manually farming, I'll be playing again next weekend and I'll try just farming for an hour, see how that goes.
One of my accounts was banned due to me using a power lvl service. The system to flagged it with a strange login pattern and I was told by email that this could be a potential botting pattern however looking at it closely it looks like the account was being "power levelled". They unbanned me but said that a warning would be added against the account. I had to provide proof of ID and no GM unbanned my account I actually had to appeal to CSFeedbackEU@blizzard.com as the guys here have powers above your everyday GM, they dont answer straight away but you will get your case looked closely. If you get nowhere with the GM and he actually closes your ticket so you cannot reply to it the email above is your last option. The people on the phone billing/support also dont have powers to overturn a perma ban which has been my experience. Dont give up. They will tell you that they wont discuss the issue but that isnt true . Like any call center someone must answer it till they lock it forever.
Because your a weasel and you were able to get out of it Seriously though you got banned for botting, then you got banned for botting again, your definitely tripping their detection system and its working exactly right, whatever your saying to them is working in your favor. I would lay low and not bot if I were in your shoes, but its your account not mine so you do whatever you want. This goes to show blizzard cant detect bots but looks for behaviors, they dont go off of whatever system completely and understand it can make mistakes. So their detection system is about on par with our speculation of how they detect us. Good news for us ;D
Juat to update, I have been botting for very short amounts of time, ranging from 1-2hrs multiple times per day and have had no further bans. I've also started dual-gathering as before I was either just mining or just herbing. Fingers crossed I stay under the radar
Bans always seem to focus on VoTW and Jade, seen it over the past few months.. I guess it's best places to farm.
Update: Perma banned a couple of weeks ago, tried to appeal but no dice. Had been dual gathering in 3 hour stints in Jade Forest and TOFW maybe twice a day, sometimes 3 times. Throwaway account so I'm not too sad, at the time I was also hardcore quest botting on my 2 main accounts with zero issues. Gah so bored of this game again! I've started playing X3 Albion Prelude, damn it's fun
