  • Why doesn't Honorbuddy use an SVN?

      Just a quick question, wouldn't this make updates much easier to roll out?

      Updates are extremely easy to do right now, if you have used the beta it sometimes gets multiple within only a few mins. No need for an svn.

      Their update server works just fine, and allows Honorbuddy to update itself (if the user wishes to update it) and also allows for reverting back to previous builds (this is awesome and incredibly important).

      Using an SVN is not necessary.
      Their build server actually pulls from at least one SVN that I know of, and the updates are provided from there.

      Sorry, where is the auto-updater? I don't think I've even seen it ^__^

      It's built into Honorbuddy.exe
      It pops up a window when there is new/revert build that is being pushed by the server.

      Ahh I have seen that before, thanks - didn't know if it worked well. :p
